why do so many asians prefer whites?

Throughout my life, I've noticed that the dream of many asians is to come to America and marry a white person. In this country, asians often seem to prefer the company of whites, even over other asians. As far as blacks or hispanics, etc, forget it! I've even read about people in China and Japan getting surgery to make their eyes rounder and breaking/stretching their legs to get taller. What's up?

BTW I'm not asking this in a racist way! It's just something I've noticed. Ignoring things doesn't make them go away.

This isn't a racist question, it's an observation and curiosity question. And I'll give you my 2-cents. I have to agree with one of the previous answers about how Asian men have this stereotype of being chauvinistic and demanding, and no women in their right mind would want that. Another observation is that some Asian women think it's more superior to date a white person than any other race, cause the Asian culture promotes everything that is more "westernized" is better. For example, the surgeries that you mentioned, having a fair skin, etc. If you go to other cultures, there are a lot of them who also want to look more westernized, so it's probably the whole media selling you the western look is the best look routine.
There are a lot of countries in Asia that are still developing, China being the major one at that. Life in these developing countries is hard, and one of the ways to escape it quickly is to marry someone from outside their own country. It's not really a dream, but it's more for practical reasons. US has one of the more open immigration policies among the western countries, so it might be easier for the girls to find someone from the US.
And unfortunately you're right about a lot of Asian girls not wanting to be with other minorities including their own race. Parents can disown their children if they marry a black or a hispanic...it's a cultural thing, there's no reason behind it that will ever be logical to us.

Anyways, let them be, to each their own...some whites have preferences too, like wanting to get the exotic tropical island girl, the Asian fetishes. We're all unique individuals with unique wants.

I prefer white girls but that's only because of certain personalities. For instance most americanized Asian girls have the worst and ugliest personalities ever. While all the white girls and latinas I've been with have loved me for who I am. Its not the same as an Asian girl who will not even look at me cause I'm not white. Oh well latinas and white babes does it best haha. But that's just me

Because they think in America the streets are paved with gold and that if you are blonde haired and blue eyed the world is at your feet, (Ha!) and Hollywood is much to blame for this. It could be a deep ancestral thing as there were ancient caucasians throughout Asia and Japan and possibly the source of the Kennywick Man. But more likely it's just a desire to be like us, they see it as a staus image, and it could be a cultural thing that we see women as equals not lesser partners. But it's true that a study of inter-racial marriages found that asian men and black women were the most against it. I've got no problem with it, we should all just be one "human race" anyways.

I have a few Asian friends, some from the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia.....all chat friends....Good friends.

My belief is that Caucasian men are attracted to Asian women and asian women are attracted to Caucasian men.

Many Chinese in Indonesia have married White Dutchmen.
The combination of the Chinese and Dutch have produced very beautiful children.

The same is true of Pinay from the Philippines...they are very Beautiful....when they marry a Caucasian, the children are very Beautiful.

For many years, Oriental women have attempted to round their eyes...a cultural rebellion of sorts.....Really not required at all.

Many asian women are short....The legs thing makes little sense to me.

Hey Hey, are you being racis? (though your question states that were racis) But who cares? Let asians marry white people, what's your problem about it? Its building us together as HUMANS! Don't be racis saying that Asian should only marry asians. Why should asians live in your world? Lets black marry whites, let whites marry asians, let white marry hispanics, let different race marry different race. WHO THE HELL CARES? Its life. Oh and by the way! While your whining about asians marrying whites, why not ask people to inforce a law that gay men can't marry each other huh?

white men and asian women have the same conservative agenda throughout life:school,profession,faith,marriage,kids...death.
White women want to have fun and that means promiscuity,liberalism,beaches,hot bodies...things that are short-term.
Asians do not feel accepted with their almond eyes which I have no problem with!
asians see hispanics through the medias eyes.
and only like blacks when it comes time for hip-hop dance classes!
and if you see who is favored in this world you would want to hitch your wagon too!

From what I was told, and have read about, many Asain men are still set in old ways - very demanding - and still view a wife sort of like property. Asain women are starting to see what they're missing out on, and want a man who will treat them more like a person.

They want to have white babies. Blue eyes and fair hair are seen as beauty to the Asians because everyone has brown eyes and black or darkish hair. The ugliest white baby to them is still beautiful!!!!

I'm asian and i do prefer whites. But that's not always the case. I don't like the company of other asians, unless they're family and friends of course.
