I am not trying to generalize about UAE men, but I have been chatting online with this guy for a couple of months, and he seems really nice. I have seen him on his web cam and we have alot in common. However, something really crazy has happened! This guy has asked me to marry him. This is so strange to me, I have been talking to him for a while, but not long enough to marry him. He is even willing to make arrangements to pay for the flight and everything. He is twenty five and I am 19. I am just curious on what are women's role in the UAE. I have asked him about it, but he says that I would be treated like an "Princess," but I would be expected to have children, and I really dont like kids. I keep telling him that I want to finish my college education, and he keeps stating that I can come to Egypt to finish my education. This guys seems really serious! He seriously wants to pay for me to fly over there. Also, is it customer for Egytptian Men to take African American wives?

I see ricans at the puerto rican day parade and they have kinky hair and black features. How can anyone say they are not black? I used to think many puerto ricans looked like marc anthony until I saw the parade online

One of the main difference between afro americans and afro latinos seems to be the way we define our blackness. Though there are many black latinos who we share a bond with, some dont seem to want to claim black roots. They want to claim latino extend which isnt a race. Admixture has a lot to do with our experiences in the Americas. And neither one of our people are 100% black. But how is having spanish & indian blood an excuse for them? Especially with us afro americans though carrying some blood of nonblacks have never negated our claim of blackness. I am the average african american, predominately african decent with a couple additions. My father and his kin are of immediate mixed black and indian blood. Their indian blood comes from the lakota people though many confuse us for cherokee which is annoying to me. They also have Asian blood since their people migrated from there. But I am black and proud, never claiming anything unless asked otherwise. Why dont latinos feel this way?

I recently moved to Germany after living in Dubai for a couple of years. Dubai of course has so many cultures living together. It was great. I am really sad and lonely in Germany. People don't seem to smile. Everyone seems irritated. I want to understand and be happy here. Please enlighten me.

A group in Maine is working to have the Poor, or to have this lands "Underpaid" speak out for themselves.

So are Celebs doing Good or Harm of having people express in their own terms what is required to wipe out the nightmare of poverty?

Is the media doing a dis-service, to those working as hard as they can for inadequate wages, or the working poor.

The working poor comprise 65% of all American Underpaid.

So as Movie, and other stars boost their name recognization using slogans that enforce the myths of poverty this Maine Non-Profit Group called Hospitality House Inc. would love for stars to assist the Underpaid themselves to speak out.

Ok so If I as a man Ask different types of Women do you feel you and other women have equal rights. The average woman will say No.

Pose the same question to men and what will the average male say, Yes women have equal rights.

Who is right? Women are because men don't walk one Step in a womans shoes, Nautrally we are blind to a majority of the Issues they face daily.

The same goes when Say Me as a Black man says yes I feel like I did have to work a lil harder to be taken serious, Yes I have been discriminated on because I'm Black.

But what most Blacks fail to say is, everyone who took thier best shot at me didn't knock me down and I'm doing better than OK. I do think this country loves to see a Prominent Black man Fail. Some of them never get another chance. Saying this doesn't make me racist.

How do you think you would feel about minorities and how they are treated by being black for a month? Being Black for a month would open your eyes to a lot of things that we have to go through on a daily bases. Being Black for a month would allow you to take a really close look at your own race and how it treats other people.

Being black for a month means that you get to deal with everyone's insecurities and their fears. Being Black for a month means you get to be treated with a certain contempt and tolerance no matter where you go. Being Black for a month means that you have to deal with a populace who believes they already know who you are even before you met them. Being Black for a month means that no one will allow you your own identity. Being Black for a month means that you are a political animal and the politicians are going to use you as the bogy man to scare the hell out of America during election time.

How would you like to be Black for a month?

Just curious
