I don't know if a black will ever be president, but i believe one should be, cause this is call america for a reason, so that everyone will be treated equally. Its not fair that only white people are in control of everything. Who ever said that this was a white America? No one.

I'm sure one will at some point... the issue isn't should there be a black president. It's is there a black man or woman that is the best for the job, and are they interested in doing what it takes to get the job. There should never be a black, female, latino, asian or pick your favorite minority title president just for the sake of having a [chose title] president. Similarly, a qualified candidate should not be ignored, just because he/she is a [chose title].

What exactly is 'a black'? Are you 'a white'? Are you 'a gay'?
Do you mean will a black 'person' will ever be President (or African-American)? A person is not defined by the color of their skin. A person is defined by their character and other traits. If 'a black' ever does become President, I will see them as my President, not 'a black'. This is 2006, not 1906, not even 1976. God Bless You ( Not 'a god' but 'God') :-)

I believe that a black man/woman stands just as good a chance of becoming President of the United State. All that needs to be done is present a candidate whom is capable of portraying him/herself as the best candidate. If a black person came foreword as a candidate I would honestly consider him for the presidency as long as his
views and future policies coincided with my own.

I am a Black female. I believe someday there will be
a woman president
then a Black male President
then a Black female president.
Honestly, I hope none of these are in my lifetime.

I think that if Barack Obama ran for president, he would have a good chance of getting into office, although many people doubt his experience. The white house is not for whites only....

Here's an article clip...
