Oh, most definitely... it is not an American thing, or European thing, or African thing... it's a WORLDWIDE thing. I live in a country that is known for having a "rainbow" people, because there are people of every color here. However, although we are a melting pot, the truth remains that racism exists. Now we don't have wars here with regards to race, but racism exists when it is that although you have a large group of 200+ students, look at the friends of each student, and you'd see that they're all the same color... Racism is when it is that you have to hide your boyfriend from your parents, because you know they won't approve of him. Racism exists when you give your child up for adoption because his hair is too curly and his skin is too dark. Racism exists when there are 2 of everything in each town... 2 restaurants, 2 churches, 2 shopping centers... and go to each and you'd see that there are people of one color there... Racism is where if you go to a church, and take communion wine, and people prefer to not drink from that chalice after you...
We do have a LOT of racism in this world... truth is that if we took the time out to learn about other people's cultures, maybe we'd realize there was nothing to be scared of, and nothing to hate...

It is racism, yes it is still evident in our world today. The problem so many make is getting prejudice and racism confused. They are not the same. Racism is an actual act which effects someone or a group. Prejudice is a belief. Big difference. However there are still acts against certain races based on their race.

Absolutely people are just less obvious-if people are honest they will admit they are racist against a group of people of a particular race or religion. This has increased since 9/11/01; for the first time people of color are joined by those perceived to be terrorists as victims of racism

Sadly Yes. There are still people out there that believe for what ever reason that they are better because of the color of their skin, gender or sexual orientation, Which to me is the stupidest thing i ever heard. Luckily I was bless into a family that don't think like that, and to believe that all people are equal, human beings.

Yes, the twins racism and bigotry are still alive and well in America. They just don't get out in public like they used to. They're keeping a lower profile in certain circles. But they really feel they can be themselves around illegal aliens and gays.

trust me when i tell you this. i spent the the most rescent three dreadfull years of my lafe at a prodiminately white religious private school. we stayed with the same class all day. there was one mexican and twenty-three white kids. you can just immagine how racist it was, especialy tward blacks because there werent any there. all day hearing racist jokes when the teacher makes us watch a tv preacher telling us races dont exist, there is only one race but we all know its sh*t. im not realy racist or anything because im not essily brainwashed. now that i go to public school(with blacks and asians) i see that the only people who act racist in front of "non-whites" are those exact people that complain about it. calling eachother the "n word" and so even though most white people arent acting racist (or at least not in front of ethnic people) they are racist against themselves.

Yea, of course. It's almost impossible to get rid of it completely.

People are still not very accepting.

But thankfully, not a lot of people are like that now days.
