Ok so If I as a man Ask different types of Women do you feel you and other women have equal rights. The average woman will say No.

Pose the same question to men and what will the average male say, Yes women have equal rights.

Who is right? Women are because men don't walk one Step in a womans shoes, Nautrally we are blind to a majority of the Issues they face daily.

The same goes when Say Me as a Black man says yes I feel like I did have to work a lil harder to be taken serious, Yes I have been discriminated on because I'm Black.

But what most Blacks fail to say is, everyone who took thier best shot at me didn't knock me down and I'm doing better than OK. I do think this country loves to see a Prominent Black man Fail. Some of them never get another chance. Saying this doesn't make me racist.

Well Strawberry, to me a Blacks segragate themselves because maybe they won't get the reconginition. I think in your eyes everything is fair, everyone get a fair shot I'd agree with you 75% of the time.
So instead of Complaining about our Athletes, our Actors, our Comedians not getting the credit they deserve we hold a Black event in thier honor, it's not to disrepect white people.
I bet in 20 years we will have a Gay movie awards, a gay channel and all that jazz.

They think that you're complaining, when really what you're doing is just stating a fact.

Everyone who took their best shot at me didn’t knock me down.

I hold a very good job in the high-tech industry and make great money enough to own 2 homes and 3 cars. People sometimes make the mistake of asking me if I felt that racism still exists and I usually respond to them that if they have to ask that question of me, then they seriously have not been paying attention to what goes on out in their own city.

Racism is alive and well in the United States. I live in most likely the safest city for Blacks in America and even here there is racism. This city is as good as it's ever going to get for Blacks, and still I have to deal with idiots and ignorance, and stupid people behaving in ways that are stupid beyond belief.

You have to understand that a lot of people have their own world view about how things are in this universe. Some people live in a bubble and they want to believe that everything in that bubble is right. Some people don't want to believe that the world they live in has flaws. A lot of people who are not white or are just ignorant want to believe that racism is over and we are all living Dr. Martins Luther King's dream, but sadly, we are not. Certainly things have gotten better for my generation and are much different than the world my parents or their parents grew up with, but the very meat of racism still exists today, and if you are not Black or Hispanic, or Female, or Gay, or any other brown skinned person in the "other" category you simply wouldn't understand.

Notice I didn't mention Asian? Asians are perceived as an economic threat to the whites. Sure the whites admire the Asians hard work ethics, but the whites also know that the Asian groups in this country are THE competition to watch out for, which is why I didn't mention the Asians. They are not a racial threat they are an economic threat. I know that sounds negative but it is true, and it is not meant to be an insult but actually a compliment. I wish my race could give the whites a run for their money.

People get uptight when Blacks say that racism is alive and well. It’s a button pusher for them. They want us to say no, racism is gone and I am so glad. They want us to tell them what they want to hear. Most of the time if you make the mistake of answering the question “Do you think there still is racism in America”, and if your answer is yes, you are going to get an army of people who will trip over themselves trying to tell you that your own personal experiences are a fluke, or an isolated event. They will tell you that you are being too sensitive, or are reading into things. They will do everything possible in an attempt to rewrite your own experiences and fill it in with their own view on how things should be. They will mention that if you had a better education, or didn’t speak “Ghetto” maybe people will treat you better, but one thing you will almost never hear and that is just a simple acknowledgement that yes, racism is still here but it get’s better every decade. You will never hear that, you will only hear them trying to defend there world view by denying you your own experience.

Racism is alive and well and no amount of denial is going to stop people who are discriminated on a daily bases from talking about it, but the next time some white privileged clown come to you and asks about race related topics…don’t waste your breath talking to them because there is no way on this planet that they are able to understand unless they walked in our shoes.

specific racism in the direction of blacks nevertheless exists. while Barack grew to become president I observed the distinctive maximum racist issues that I even have ever seen. Barack growing to be to be president type of made issues worse for black human beings through fact NOW there are each and one and all of those white human beings continuously complaining approximately black human beings and constantly crying approximately opposite discrimination. merely through fact the president is black does no longer advise that our u . s . has replaced. I even have seen NO adjustments interior the way blacks and different minorities are taken care of. besides the shown fact that I DO believe that maximum black human beings have a wager in accomplishing their desires and growing to be to be knowledgeable.....in the event that they stay on the the ideal option course and in the event that they do no longer run into any evil human beings. by potential of ways, Haitians are African, you ought to do a touch learn or take a school classification. African slaves have been sent to North and SOUTH usa. Haiti is the 1st submit-colonial self sufficient Black-led u . s . interior the international, and the sole u . s . whose independence replaced into gained as portion of a useful African slave insurrection.

Racism is not bound by the color of ones skin. I believe that to a great degree, the issue of bigotry has been addressed. However, there exists to some extent the psychological impediment of minorities with regards to their progress. If failure occurs, blame may be shifted from themselves to another group. This allows one to relieve themselves of any liability and make another group feel as the aggressor.
There are instance of racism. I grant you this, but for most of the United States this has become minimal. If there exist elements which try to impede you, use the law to stop it. However, if you (or any individual regardless of skin or religious beliefs) fail do not blame anyone but yourself. Learn from failures to ensure the successes of the future.

this question is gray. No pun intended.

while racism and sexism exist. I think that it is human nature to blame someone else for our short comings. We all need a scape goat, because the majoriy of us refuse to accept responsibilty for our actions.

I think ppl are much too quick to pull the race card or the gender card. We should examine the situation better and ask ourselves...what could I have done better to prevent this from happening to me? Does that person really have merit or have I really been mistreated because of my sex or the color of my skin. What valid evidence do I have to prove that Ive been mistreated because of my race or sex?

Until we can be completely honest with ourselves racism and sexism will always exist in abundance because we helped to spread it along.

I may get some negative reaction to my next comment/question but here goes...

Do you think that black people help to spread racism by maintaining a sort of segregation in certain areas...like the black music awards, black films awards. Why do black people scream about equality when they continue to desperately remain seperate? What would happen if we had a white music awards? The **** would hit the fan! White people arent allowed to celebrate our race. Why should black people be? Isnt it all racism?

Most white people take it as a complaint, but it's just the truth. Racism does still exist.
