What Is California Known For

2016-10-02 21:49:44 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

California is known for many things: most noted: Hollywood and the movie studies; warm sunny weather, beautiful coastal beaches, lowest dessert point (Death Valley); The Gold Rush; Beautiful Missions; originally part of Mexico and Russia; The Golden Gate Bridge; Los Angeles Lakers, Anaheim Angels, Oakland Raider, Anaheim Ducks; Disneyland; Napa Valley Wineries; Mount Shasta; San Francisco; Beverly Hills, Santa Barabara; Los Angeles; San Diego; and The Largest Agriculture Valley in the World. There is more, but I'm tired of typing.

i read some of the comments and i agree with most because i live in Sacramento but my answer would be LA, Movie and show studios, Sport teams, Mount Shasta, ( ma gram lives there ) Lake tahoe, beautiful homes , ( that can be a great price, speaking, just bought a house 2 weeks ago) Beaches, awesome weather, from literally freezing to over 110 degrees, but normally around 70) and one of my favorites, the nice and loving people who are so relaxed and fun! ( although there can be workaholics.) and many, more. I know I might be saying this because i was born and raised here, but it might be the first or second most popular state! (next to New York)

Orange County comes to mind.

Gold, Disneyland, Hollywood, Death Valley, Golden Gate Bridge, the missions, Yosemite National Park, redwoods, Lake Tahoe (OK, we share that with Nevada)

well, you would actually have to separate california to do this...
northern cali: rain, lush greenery
general so cal: the sequoias, beaches
san francisco: fisherman's wharf, alcatraz, garideli square, haute & ashburn... there's more for them too
la: gangs, riots, bad traffic, hollywood, west hollywood, disneyland
san diego: the zoo, balboa park, hillcrest (huge gay pride parade), sea world

wow, i'm sure there's more, but that's off the top of my head. and i'm better at so cal because i lived in san diego for 23 years

Beautiful beaches. Beautiful weather. L.A. Hollywood. And being on a fault, and therefore prone to earthquakes. :P
