I am white, is it wrong that i hate prejudice white people?

I Live in Michigan, and it's filled with ignorant, obnoxious, white rednecks. I cannot stand it, makes me sick. They display rebel flags on their trucks and gas pigs. I'm ahamed. There is bad people of every race Color doesn't make a differance.. Should i call them white trash?? Or Crackers?

I'm not expert on this sort of thing, but think about what you are saying for a minute. By saying you hate prejudice white people, you have yourself become prejudice.Don't get me wrong, I think that people that don't like others simply because of their race or religion is wrong, but I have to repect the fact that at least they are using their right to freedom of speech by expressing this. My step- father is the same way. He doesn't like a certain race somply because he has never met a person of this race who has ever been nice to him. Do I think it's wrong? ABSOLUTELY!! But I also think it is wrong to call these people "white trash" or "crackers". That to me states that you have a problem with the fact we have freedom of speech. I personally believe that everyone should respect everyone and stop with the name calling. It's like a silly little kids game that everyone is playing and it's absolutely rediculous! I think instead of "profiling" these people you hate, you should just repect the fact that both them and the people they hate are expressing their rights and have every right to do so. I am embarassed by this entire country. Law inforcement profiles people simply based of their religion and ethnicity. I think that is wrong, but I can also understand the need for it. If everyone would just get it into their heads that everyone in this country has rights and the freedom to express them, but why not stop with the blame games and name calling? American's are acting like a bunch of spoiled rotten brats. That's my opinion anyway. I think your best method of action here is to simply ignore it and focus on the more important aspects of life. I live in Michigan and there are places where things are not the best... run down neighborhoods, burned out homes, etc. It is sad and I've seen all kinds of ethnic backgrounds in these neighborhoods so it would be no use to call out in slang certain ethnic people including white people.

Try to make things better by getting along and taking a step to help be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

Prejudice is found in any ethnicity, not just white. Does that mean you hate members of other ethnicities if they act in a stereotypical manner? I live in the south, so rebel flags are nothing to me. Everybody, not just white, displays them. Does that make me white trash or a cracker?

Call them either way. I am a latino and I hate some latinos who only care of getting drunk and yelling staff to ladies on the streets. I call them the other kind of Latinos; there are in every race two types of people. Literate and Iletarate, Lazy and Hard Working, White and then Rednecks. etc. You are cool dude!

You don't sound like you hate all white people -- just the stereotypical rednecks or northern white trash (depending on where they're from). I'm white and I don't care for rednecks, either. It isn't the color of their skin I hate, but rather that their lifestyle and values are contrary to mine. Yes, that's prejudice. But to free oneself of all prejudice is to free oneself of being human. It can't be done.

Call them whatever you want. You're protected by the double standard. It's okay to make fun of or use derogatory names on members of your own race. I refer to my in-laws (extreme rednecks...I think my husband was adopted) as crackers. But it's okay, because they're white and I'm white. But if they were African American, I couldn't call them the n word because I'm not African American. Don't you just love that convenient double standard?

You have a point, but hate is a strong word. Calling them white trash and/or crackers just brings you down to their level - is that what your looking to acheive being a prejudice white person yourself?

I'm white and hate prejudice. I totally agree there are nasty people in every race, we just have different names for them. I want my son to see people, not colors or ethnic backgrounds. Call them white trash or better yet, call them b!tches! Just not to their faces as they probably have a gun rack behind those rebel flags, not that there's anything wrong with a gun rack, but it just goes well in this picture. :)

i think of you need to in basic terms care and treasure your self and not care lots approximately this stereotype and those judgements. i understand the type you experience, i'm vietnamese and gay. probabilities of looking yet another like me are narrow, yet i'm fortunate sufficient to have a boyfriend already, who's mixed-race of nigerian and french and english. generally English. He shares the comparable opinion of black human beings, in spite of if he recognises popularity. In honesty, i hit upon that yet another stereotype is that white adult males often discover asian adult males beautiful, provided they're youthful looking sufficient. Its in basic terms a stupid stereotype on the tip of the day, no count if or no longer its authentic . you will hit upon a man or woman you opt for, while it occurs. Race shouldn't count. in basic terms shield your self, tbh
