I see ricans at the puerto rican day parade and they have kinky hair and black features. How can anyone say they are not black? I used to think many puerto ricans looked like marc anthony until I saw the parade online

Some puerto ricans have black ancestry there are parts of puerto Rico with mostly African influence with the people being darker and having black features. But regardless they are still Puerto Rican whether they look so called black or not there are people in my family that is Boricua that look black and some that don't. Puerto Ricans come in all different colors.

My grandmother is full blooded Puerto Rican, born and raised! She probably looks more white then you do! Nobody in my family has kinky hair. Therefore it isn't fair for you to say that ALL Puerto Rican's are Black! You need to stop with your rascism already!!! You're very ignorant!

Being black has nothing to do with facial features. Being black means you are African or have a significant amount of African ancestry. Besides, Puerto Ricans are Hispanic anyways. Why do you ask such stupid questions?

You are so far off base that you evidently have a black boyfriend and are trying to pass him off as Puerto Rican.
The island we know as Puerto Rica was settled by Asian(called Indians, or islanders) centuries before the black man crawled out of his tree in africa,
Today they are mainly a mixture of indian, spainish heritage with ***** desended from slaves.
An analysis of blood groups and protein markers determined that the Puerto Rican gene pool was comprised of 45% European contribution, 37% African, and 18% Native American.[15] A more recent study of mtDNA from 800 individuals found 61.1% as having Amerindian maternal mtDNA, 26.4% as having African maternal mtDNA, and 12.5% as having Caucasian maternal mtDNA.[16]
As of now Europeans are immigrating in form South/centrla america, and Europe increasing the white populations,
But no Most Puerto Ricans are not black. yuou are looking at mixed breeds. I bet your parents are black and don't liketheir lil girl with a \Puerto Rican guy:):)
