I am in the process of trying to become the woman I was meant to be, and I would appreciate any advice or tips to help me through my transition from male to female. I would also like to know what effects I will experience first due to hormone treatment, which I will hopefully be starting soon. As well as will the hormones help me prevent my penis from becoming erect, and anything else who has been through this can think of that will help me. Again any advice or tips, and info will be greatly appreciated.

At present, same-sex marriages are recognized nationwide in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada and South Africa, etc. What impact has this had on heterosexual marriage?

For example, the numbers show that heterosexual marriage looks pretty healthy in Scandinavia, where same-sex couples have had rights the longest.

I've noticed that some gay people really don't like bisexuals for some reason. Why is that? I am bisexual. I believe it is possible to be attracted to both male and female. I enjoy sex with both. So why do some gay people not like bisexuals?

ok i am the life and soul of the party and have a trillion friends but the thing is i swear coz i am popular and a joker i get people using me to entertain them :(

i know who my REAL REAL friends are and it's only 5 people who are there for me (i am lucky so i shouldn't be complaining really)

also coz i am popular and a joker it frightens off people who fancy me because they can't get on my level.....should i tone it down a bit???

the thing is i can't help it really coz i love to have a laugh and enjoy life (you only live once so...) and even when it comes to my career i've done so much that others can't compete too. i hope i ain't making people feel less to me because i really don't look at superficial things and act better than anybody else coz all that stuff doesn't matter to me it's just something i've done and been lucky in

Personally I don't understand how anyone has a right to tell other people how they should live unless they are something like a drug addict and trying to help the person overcome their addiction. I am a straight married woman with 2 kids. So because I chose a differnt lifestyle than a gay/lesbian marraige, does that make it right for me or anyone to dictate to gay/lesbian people how they should run their lives? To define what marraige constitutes? NO! They have a right to marry just as anyone would and to those people that say "Well if we allow this, we might as well allow people to marry their pets" I got one thing to say to that! Open your freaking brain a little and use some common sense! What do you all think?

The dream was disturbing, bizarre.
I was in a run down hotel and in my room.It was night time and very quiet and I was in bed. Not a nice hotel. old fashioned and spooky
Through the lock on the door this very long thin piece of crumpled up paper (thin and string like) had a paper eye on the end.
The string like paper was very long and gradually was threaded through the keyhole until it hovered by my bed in mid air and there was a flower like thing at the end which also looked like an eye.
It was obvious someone was threading it through from the other side of the door and it felt supernatural and it was designed to disturb me.
The next thing I remember is gradually opening the door and there was no-one there.
The hall was dark and run down. At the other side of the dark hall there was a tiny office with two young women who ran the hotel.
I asked them if this had happened before and they said yes, a sinister young gay guy was stalking the hotel and was scary but no-one could catch him.

Did you read the bible to to find out if what people were saying was true?

I did. I think I was about 12 or 13 years old when I read it and knew I had attractions for the same-sex but I never labelled it gay till I was older.

I knew that God was suppose to answers your prayers if you asked him but God never changed my attraction to straight when i asked for him to.

Anyone else do this when they were young enough to realize?

Not in the closet, just want to separate work and queer life a little, and moving to a new city. Mark is a really boring name, sigh.

So I have extremely conservative Christian parents and I don't know how to come out to them. Every time a gay guy or something comes up in the conversation, they usually bash/make fun of them which I can't stand. Do you think they'd kick me out? Should I just tell a bestfriend and not tell my parents til I'm eighteen?

Please be mature with your answers..

I believe that sexuality is just another human trait... equal to race, religion, height, gender, weight, hair colour, eye colour, etc...
However... A friend of mine says that sexuality is different than the others because sexuality hinders gay people in their everyday lives...
I say that gays contribute to this 'hindrance' by making a big deal out of it...
Homosexuals would like for sexuality to be just like all of the other things I named...
Yet they obviously don't believe it themselves.
If they thought that sexuality was like the rest, then they wouldn't have parades and all kinds of organizations and alliances...
I dunno...
I'm gay myself... But I think that it's often blown far out of proportion... by both gays and straights alike...

Hi,

I am married and have a child.
I have strong gay feelings. I searched internet to know if gayness is in harmones or it could come accidentally or by any other circumstances.
I can still remember very clearly, when I was a child of 5-7 years old, i use to think to make love with a male and that feeling is still with me up to now when I am 34 and my feelings became more gay as I grew up and never stopped.
I hate my gay feelings and always wanted to get rid of it but couldn't !! I often asked myself where did these feelings come from ????? then I can find only one answer, "I am GAY by birth" as I can still remember my gay feelings for the first time when I was 5-7, when I was 8, 9, 10 and then throught out my whole life up to now. If it is not by birth, how comes I was a gay when I was just 5-7 years old when a child have no sense of sexuality??

Your answer may help me to sort myself out, Thanks

I'm 19 and I'm a girl. I feel very confused. I've gone through periods of time when I was attracted to both women and men. Then times when it was only men. I also go through days when I feel very feminine and others when I feel masculine. But most days, I feel neither extremely feminine nor masculine...just in between. I'm very self conscious of how I walk and talk...I try to appear as feminine as I can but it's hard sometimes.

What's wrong with me? Why am I like this?

I was discussing it with a gay male friend earlier today--a friend said that she liked my shoes and he replied, "I made her by them, aren't they fabulous?"

You know, every time I've ever used the word fabulous, people look at me weird. Why aren't lesbians allowed to say fabulous, lol? And are their any primarily lesbian words? If so... I haven't heard them.

: )
