develop it for convenience sake? Just wondering. Not that it is the easy way out socially, didn't mean that..I meant physically. You know like, you don't have to learn or try coz its something you would already know how to work?

American men seem to be paranoid that others will think they are gay if they don't act "manly." Is it because America in general has a problem dealing with sexuality (Puritan roots)?

so we got this snickers ad in the superbowl...the one with the two guys kissing and then freaking out. me i luaghed my *** off, one of the only really good ones as i watched my bears go down the tubes...now why the next day do we have to hear the gay rights groups crawling all over it...its the superbowl, the 'manliest' event of the year...i don't go on the bravo network and start bitching about the 'fab 5' telling a straight man he is too straight...why not just live and let live?

Why do girly guys have to act that way? If they weren't acting that way, there really wouldn't be anything to make fun of. Most jokes are aimed at how those feminine guys act and automatically associated with all gay males. But tht's just because it's not obvious that they are gay and not obvious that masculine guys are, and so they think the majority of gay people act like that. Frankly, I think it creeps me out when men act like that. I've seen a lot of girly men and I don't understand why they choose to act like the opposite sex. I think you can help your behavior and what you say, such as when someone says behave yourself. Attraction is different! I am just quite frankly sick and tired of being associated with those feminine guys that freak me out and am sick of the stereotype that all gay men act that way just because it's not as obvious a masculine guy is gay. Those flamboyant men who are hair stylist, and say "Fabulous" creep me out. Even a little bti of that behavior is freaky

The gay community has to live with me just as I have to live with them. Im a sincere lover of people, gay or whatever. I have been around "gay's most of my life. I have gay customers who love my work, service and availability. I help gay men all the time in various ways and situations. Now I know that my open heart towards 'people' is because I would one day learn my son is gay. When he told me, it was diffucult as hell for him, because he knew I dont accept nor agree with the uniion of men and men. Im glad that I did not go off or belittle him. I am glad I didnt say anything I want to take back or have to live hard with. My son says Im his best friend. I know my belief, position and temperament are extremely difficult for him and his friends, so I guess my love of 'people' is helping my relationship with my son. I dont try to stop him from being gay and he doesnt attempt to stop me from expressing my views. Will the gay community allow this father to have his position?

The thing is, I'm 98% positive that a good friend of mine is romantically attracted to me. Not that I have anything against gays or bi people, but I just have a feeling that he's into me that way. When we sit in the cafe together, he'll have his leg either very close to mine or touching it (and I'm too embarassed to move my leg. I don't want to make him think I'm homophobic)....and sometimes he'll call me on the phone just to "talk,"....and guys generally don't do that. And also, when I'm helping him with his homework, I see him staring at me out of the corner of my eye. I'm VERY liberal and don't care about people's religion or sexuality or anything...

I haven't asked him if he's gay/bi, (he claims he's straight) but I don't want him to think I'm secretly gay and there's a chance with me romantically. I don't want him to waste his time. What should I do?

what are you doing in this area?.....the more you spend time here the more we think your in the closet.....so come out....or shut up

2007-02-07 11:52:42 · 7 answers · asked by Anonymous

if so, why?
Are homos past the point of accepting humor, aren't you "gay", implying happy, and gaiety?
There are stereotypical ads depicting: dum women, chauvinistic men, "hip" black people, etc.
Why be so sensitive over a (stupid) ad?

It just comes to my natural senses that you make love to the person you love. What about swingers, what are they/you are looking for when they/you swing?
Is there something I am missing out?

Ok, i recently came out to my mom and a few others but still havent told my dad. The reallity of it is that my dad will deffinately freak out. So my mom came up with and idea, instead of telling him and haveing him react quickly, my mom will tell him before i go to her house for the weekend and then give him a coulpe days to think about it. my mom will tell him in a way that she says that i dont know she is telling him so that i can come out to him when i get home. Is this a good idea? i seem to think so but want some more ideas. please give me some ideas then give me your story. THANX <3
