if so, why?
Are homos past the point of accepting humor, aren't you "gay", implying happy, and gaiety?
There are stereotypical ads depicting: dum women, chauvinistic men, "hip" black people, etc.
Why be so sensitive over a (stupid) ad?

I'm as straight as you get, and I "snickered" when I saw the ad. The funny part was them ripping the hair off their chests. Didn't that mean THEY were stupid? They went to extreme measures to cover up their homophobia... that should have made the LGBT establishment happy.
the irony is not lost on me...

The whole commercial worked on the premise that gay man = an oxymoron. And...that's a tired attitude. Yes, there's stereotypical ads depicting all of the things you mentioned: and they're all terrible too. I will say that I'm not aware of any that have website links to alternate endings with those stereotypes having the ever-living tar kicked out of them. The commercial was offensive, but the website was far worse.

I thought the ad was funny. It wasn't even about gays, it was two straight men eating a candy bar and their lips almost touched. It has nothing to do with being gay, its about two men who didn't want to kiss each other.
Not sure if anyone watched the movie Hitch, when the guy from King of Queens accidentally kissed Will Smith. Will freaked out and stormed off. I wonder if their going to start pulling that movie of the shelves now and the others like it.

I'm pretty apathetic towards it. I didn't laugh at it, but wasn't offended either. Just another commercial to me.
It does strike me as more of a comment on the state of the straight American man, though, more than it says anything on homosexuality. Look at the two men, perfect examples of the traditional American blue-collar worker. That they would react in such a way suggests that men of that type are insecure, and reckless when it comes to their actions.

it was funny! the men weren't kissing, they were eating a candy bar for the love of God. if people were sensitive to the ad then maybe they are homophobic. I say grow up. and no i am not gay.heck my mother in law even thought it was funny and didn't take offense to the ad. Lord, it was just a commercial.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous how gays are offended by this. They only make it a big deal for attention. It's not like they intended to offend gays when they made the commercial. People just need to chill out and quit making a big deal out of everything for no reason. It shouldn't have been a big deal at all.
Gays are just insecure to the point where they need to take away good, harmless humor and blow it out of proportion to get attention. Just chill the ***** out, holyshit.

I wasn't at all offended. It was funny and besides everyday you see commercials, movies, and music videos, etc. where they may have girls play fighting and other types of girl on girl action. I'm glad that snickers ad came out. It evens out the playing field! lol

I'm a lesbian and even if the ad had two women I still wouldn't have been offended. I don't see what the big deal is.

I could care less about the ad....I find it stupid that a company would spend so much to advertise during the superbowl. I buy a product for its merits, not its advertisements.

Will someone please provide a link to the Infamous Snickers Ad... I am certain it is on Youtube.
I have not seen it so I cannot decide whether or not to be offended.
Edit: I just saw it and I thought it was funny as hell!
"Quick... do something manly!" ... I don't care who you are, that is funny.
