I think they have issues at home, someone making them feel less than what they know they are. I think maybe some people are born confused and others are too lazy too get into socialization with the opposite sex, want to be different and are indulging themselves in a twisted fashion with an excuse.

I firmly believe as a gay man that we are born with a sexual orientation. There is nothing convenient about being gay, especially in the United States. If it were truly a choice no one would, in a sound state of mind, chose the difficulties and struggle that come with being gay. I also can go so far as to say, as a religous man, that God created me as a gay man. I do not believe in the bible in its current state because it is simply heresay, it has been edited, revised, translated, and therefore is not the true word of God. Things have been added, omitted, and change to reflect the political, social, and moral views of the times.
There is not a point in someones life where they just think, hmm, I think I am going to start being gay today. I knew as young as 5 years old that there was something different about me, then it grew into a fascination and jealousy of the "cute" boys in my classes, then grew to more sexual and physical attraction to another man.
Bottom line, how does a heterosexual person know they are heterosexual, they are not trained by their parents at a young age to go after someone of the same sex, and if they did why didnt it work in my case.

I was born with no sexual preference. I had other things to concern myself with like breathing, walking, speaking, learning, and so on. All the while I was doing these things I never gave much of a thought to sexual matters even though I grew up on a farm watching animals mate. None of it mattered to me because it wasn't within the realm of my reality.
When I began to come of age I naturally gravitated towards males. Not so much in the real world but in icons and sports figures, except for an occasional female, Linda Ronstadt comes to mind. You and I travel to the beat of a different drum is what she sang and it hit home with me. I started thinking what I already knew, that I wasn't cut out to walk the straight and narrow, so what I did was begin in a small way to vocalize. I stood up to the school bully, I stood up for the small guy, I stood up to my elders and I did it all with words. A pretty amazing thing for a former stutterer. I worked hard at that, and along the way I learned how rewarding it was to be a friend first, and as time went on a sexual being second. I don't categorize myself as strictly a homosexual, its just something that was innate that manifested the inevitable as I aged. I feel that too much emphasis is placed on who you love instead of how you love. Yes I was born to be gay, and so many more things.
Thank you for your time.

im not really sure if people can be born with it like if it can be something thats actualydiffernt about them, i dont think its wrong either way or anything so i hope i dont offend anyone. i dont have a preference between boys and girls, meaning yes, i am bi, i dont care if its a guy or girl. but some people if they think somthing enough, they can convince them selves of it, so think it can be a consience choice in some cases that someone can convince themselves that they are gay or bi or maybe even straight, like if they find out a few of their friends are bi and dont feel like the fit in or something. i have a feeling that might be whats going on with one of my friends actualy.if people do that then it wouldnt be very common though because its a hard thing to do, but some people can do it. as for being born with it, i dont know. i think you just are. for me i just...am. i really dont know. but im not sure if thats what you ment or not. hope i could help
once again i hope i didnt offend anyone.

People develop a lot of their sexuality in early childhood by the way they relate to their parents. Sexuality is never about convenience, it's about arousal. Whatever intense experiences you had in early childhood tend to trigger arousal in adulthood. A lot of gay men had domineering women for a mother, and very little or no male role model. So their personality becomes more feminine.

I honestly think that some people are born with a hormonal imbalance that will affect their sexual preferences. I am not referring to all people who are gay, however I think some gay people fall into this category.
While in high school I knew a brother and sister. She was very masculine and he was very feminine. There seemed to be some type of skewed biology there. They are both gay today.

People are born with a sexual preference. It is difficult to teach a child to write with their right hand when they have a predisposition to write with their left hand. For gay people, the sexual attraction to the same sex is as natural as the attraction to the opposite sex is for a straight person. It is not a convenience to be discriminated against for something that seems natural to oneself.

LOL!! It is SO much harder to have good gay sex. Knowing how a penis feels from your end is not the same as pleasing someone else's. Sex with girls, for me, was easy- plop it in, and shake around your hips for a while. It just wasn't emotionally rewarding.

I think you are born with what you're sexually attracted to, but that doesn't mean a human being can't become curious and maybe want to experiment in there life.

I am bisexual. Even as a young girl I had crushes on girls and boys. For me,its nature, however,I think in some cases situations will occur to make someone lean towrds gay tendencies, but not always.
