It does matter because it isn't a choice therefore it is not something that can be changed.

It's because of ignorance. People hate gays because of the "damage" they will inflict on the country.

First: Don't you know we live in a theocracy? HA! Not everyone is a Christian, so therefore you can't shove your fricken morals down everybody's throats. I'm a Christian, by choice. My friend is Jewish, do I tell her everyday that Jesus is the savior, no. I don't need to tell people what to do. Extremist Christians feel it is their duty to "fix" everybody.

Second: It is all about being closed-minded. Remember when we couldn't marry outside our race? Somehow we learned to realize that Blacks and Asians are still humans and it is ok to mingle.

Third: Something about being bad parents. I guess all these haters are going to start bashing single parents for not having the proper father and mother figures. Also, they should get on the infertile couples for not popping out enough kids. It's not like our orphanages are full yet.

Fourth: Gays will ruin the sanctity. Like Britney Spears' two day marriage in Vegas a long time ago was full of meaning. Or anybody in Hollywood who thinks that marriage is just a fun thing to do for awhile.

These are just a few of the arguments I run into in my political science and sociology classes.

Well, you said 'the end' like you really didn't expect an answer, but I'll say what I believe, anyway. The reason there is a difference to some people, is that some people are religious. And to choose the 'gay lifestyle' to them is like choosing sin over good.

Some people though believe you can be gay and be a christian, and mostly to them, god made them gay, so it should be okay. At least that's the way it seems to me.

I think the premise of the anti-gay crowd is that being gay is somehow a WRONG choice, like the choice to rob a bank or the choice to shoot someone.

If there is proof that someone is born gay, then gay/straight is no longer a choice or a moral decision, but something inherent to someone, like skin color or height.

If it were to be found to be a biological "setting" that was different, that also brings the biblical concept of homosexuality as an abomination into serious question.

Finally, there are those who want to "fix" someone who is gay. If such a fix were possible, that would bring up serious ethical questions.

To me, there's precious little love in the world. If somebody happens to fall madly in love with somebody of the same gender, then that's something to be celebrated.

It doesn't matter if you choose to be homosexual or not, although I do believe it is a choice. What matters is not acting on something that is not good, just because you feel like it, because there will be consequences to all actions. Like some people may say they were born a murderer, but they still shouldn't murder or maybe they say they were born a thief, they still shouldn't steal. And Alcoholics are born with the propensity to drink, but it is not good for them and they know they should try not to do it. We are above animals and should not act on every urge we have, self control is good.

Most of the time the people that have the comments are just insecure with the lives that THEY lead.
They put others down to make themselves feel better.

People feel that way because it's wrong. Then again i's also wrong to judge people. If you can show me where it says that it's ok to be gay in the bible,I'll hang it up.They try to use the excuse that it's okay to be gay because all sins will be forgiven, but God isn't a God of repetition so why keep doing it?
If you feel that I'm wrong please help me to better understand.

i dont think most people really care about you being gay i think they care about they gay agenda in politics has nothing to do with you as people or lifestyle but the poltics that are affilated with it
i have gay freinds and have no problem hanging out with them

I agree 100%! The people that are anti-gay don't understand that being gay is not a conscious decision one can make. They need to understand that everyone has the right to say what they want, think what they want, and LOVE WHO THEY WANT.

first of all to enlighten you my gay fellow human that is if you recognise you you are male or female whhich ever the case it affects the females like me how have children who mix with your kind and then become confused like the little boy in schools who comes to know he is a boy and then some how is trying to figure out why some boys think they are girls and visa versa is is rather confusing to the young ones in society i think you people need to know that your freedom of choice should stay in the closet when it begins to infect the innocent because i am a mother i have nothing against your personal preference when it begins to affect my children thats when i become irate if needs be express your selves on another planet thats the end
