Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - January 2007

I am so tired of thinking about this... It's 3 a.m. and I have to get ready for school at 5:45 a.m. but this happens frequently... My mind keeps running debating on this issue so much and im tired of it... I'm 16 and was raised christian so of course knowing the usual view christians tend to be agaisnt it... I don't want to give up God yet I feel like if I do try to tell myself im not bisexual I'm not being who I am. Recently a couple of christian people I know and a counslor tried explaining to me that its ok to be this way and a christian... yet my parents and others believe im going to hell for it... I'm so tired of dealing with this issue and the lack of sleep I get from it.. its all I think about anymore... I can't focus on school work, my grades are dropping, its terrible... can anyone give some good advice?

i have been bi curious for a while now and my husband dont want to have a three some in fear of ruining our relationship.. the other night we went out with our friends and got drunk, they spent the night at our house so they didnt have to drive home drunk.. well i went to the bathroom and my best friend who is a girl came with me (which is normal) we ended up making out, and grabin each other, but thats it!! should i tell my husband??? i kinda want to cuz i feel guilty but i dont want to piss him off!!

I am gay. I am in a committed relationship with another man for six years. We have a very strong, monogamous relationship and love each other dearly.

We both work full time jobs. My partner is a teacher and I am a business consultant. I am working on a Master's Degree. I am on the homeowner's association committee in our sub. We both do volunteer work and are active in many other community and social organizations.

We have one problem. We can't walk down Main St. in anytown USA holding hands. We have to be careful in movie theaters not to be caught touching. We don't dare show even the most simple forms of affection to each other in uncertain situations in public.

My question is HOW CAN THIS BE RIGHT?

PS for those who will talk about loving the sinner, but hating the sin, the bible also talks about sacrificing goats and sheep for a bountiful harvest. Not to mention the punnishments that are appropriate for slaves. So lets be objective and not quote the bible

Does it really matter to people who anyone marries! why should a gay/lesbian person have to say life partner why can't they be able to say this is my husband or this is my wife bein the same sex as that person! Isn't everyone supposed to have the right to marry who they want!I mean look at brittany spears she got married for the hell of it an no one even cared! but if a gay person were to try an get married they would be shuned! so my question is why is there so much controversy over a gay person getting married if they love the person?

For instance: Gay marriage. The main arguement against it appears to be peoples religious veiws...why is it certain peoples religious veiws should be legally enforced upon others. I have seen all the epidsodes. Now they are all repeating on LOGO. I guess I should mention I am a straight female im a committed relationship and I have several gay friends both male and female (a couple of them I would consider best friends). I am just wondering if anyone else here in the gay community thinks that series (though interesting and great) depicts gay men and women in a very over-sexualized manner. I do not even have gay friends who start making out in front of the rest of the people at their table in a restaurant etc. This would make me uncomfortable from anyone.....straight, gay or bi. I liked the show but I think the sex part was way overdone.

Too many gay and bi men are married and fooling around. So how do mature single bi men who have only recently acknowledged their gay side, have little experience with gays, and no connections meet legitimate dates? Can they do this without having to practically announce their new-found sexual interest? Can they end up actually loving a man if they are more straight than gay? How do they deal with old friends and family who think this is some craziness or sin? How do they deal with the over-heated gay or bi guys who want to START with sex before they even know (if they care) their partner's first and last name? Gay's sure are a funny bunch and hard to figure out. Are they really "gay" (that is "happy")?
