I agree. Anyone who takes their position in the government with any accountability would create legislation based on a rationale arguement, and not personal religous beliefs. Creating laws based on religious beliefs, forces everyone to abide to that dogma, and is a dishonest way of removing the right to religous freedom.

You know, it's not the government that's pushing anything on you, so that assumption is incorrect. The Christians aren't pushing anything on anyone either, lest you forget that we also have the right to vote just like you. Also, don't forget that in most states that this law has already passed, they went in behind everyone's back and passed it without the consent of the public, period, so who's pushing what on who? About the Christmas trees issue, that was all resolved, the Christmas trees were put back up, and the man made clear what he REALLY said. I don't believe he ever actually threatened a lawsuit, the media blew that whole event out of proportion, so people would be outraged over it. Calling it "religious bigotry" and what-have-you. It was propaganda to yet again put a bad taste in America's mouth about Christians. Please do not be so hard on Christians in the future, it's not necessarily us causing all of these "problems."

whether gay marriage is right or wrong is not the quesions. it's about making a decision that will lead to votes.
society has been corrupted by powerful leaders, trendsetters, an gatekeepers who feel the need to impose these views.
politics is all about getting votes, therefore, they tend to make decisions that will agree with what society has deemed to be normal.

because they can't accept the fact that they might be wrong.
they treat the Bible (just for example people) as an absolute truth, with out so much as saying to anyone, that the Bible might not be entirely true.
and its ironic because most people In America, at least, dont follow all the rules theyre supposed to according to the Bible. you cant cut your hair, eat pork, etc. but incest and killing your children for them disagreeing with you is peachy keen.

It teaches our children IMMORALITY for one,,so you think its NORMAL behavior to be with people of the same sex ?? I believe its just disgusting human behavior !! But aside from my opinion, the politicians are trying to save a sacred union for the people, and save themselves money from having to pay benefits ! It saves companies, insurance and alot of businesses and states ,MONEY !!
It matters a lot..Christmas had nothing to do with Jesus Christ and was originally a pagan Holiday, God hates our new traditions...it is written . here are a few verses to get you started.....There are HOLY days,,but it is NOT one..you cannot take something pagan, and turn it into something of a celebration of Jesus. Jesus asked us to repent and be baptised, NOT to celebrate his Birthday..Common mainstream misconception ! In history to get converts, they adopted it into the church, and the lie carried on for centuries !
Jer 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
The minora has a totally different meaning, and I have not studied it enough to give you a truthful answer or an opinion.

In other words, even laws against perjury, libel and slander, and fraud are suspicious since those laws obviously have their roots in the biblical command "Thou shalt not bear false witness" .....?
