i'm bisexual and me and my girlf are both feminine but when we go to gay bars the majority of woman are very masculine looking and a lot of the time we get looked at as if we are in the wrong place, all the gay blokes we meet say the same and that its nice to see feminine lesbians, me peronally cannot see the point in going out with somone who dresses and acts like a man, may as well go out with men !!!

I'm bisexual and I haven't come out to anyone yet. It's weird to even say those words. I don't know how to come out to my friends and family. I'm afraid of what they will think of me and how they will react. I'm afraid that things will change. In my opinion, All the terms of endearment we have are demeaning, cutesy, or too casual. They're not loving words girlfriend/boyfriend? People use it when they've dated for two weeks and will be broken up by three. “Significant other” is still too technical. What's left? “Lover” who needs to know that?; it used to be acceptable. My Sweetie? YUCK! In Chinese, you can say "my beloved one," which is quite nice, but sounds pretentious in English. English just doesn't cut it in this area- It's bothersome and, really, a little bit sad, I think.

Most of us were encouraged in this mind-set by our childhood toys programs and treatment. Barbies are sold to go with Kens, adults coo over boys and girls when they hold hands, but adults separate boys and boys and girls and girls who are too affectionate. Basically, throughout our childhood, heterosexuality is encouraged, applauded and required, making me wonder if being straight isn't the more “unnatural" thing after all.....

the whole point is, there is no guy. if i wanted a guy, i would be with a guy. if they mean who is more dominate, then why not ask that-and if so, here is a question back, are you saying the guy is usually more dominate? if that's so, than almost every straight couple i have meet, the girl is the 'guy' and the guy is the 'girl'. just curious, always struck me as a strange question.....

Well I am going to my boyfriend's Aunt's house for Thanksgiving next Thursday and his entire family is going to be there. Now I have met his mother, brother and sister, but this is the entire family. Should I wear a shirt and tie and black pants, or go a little more dressy and wear really nice black pinstripe pants? I could also go with no tie and a blazer, or I could go with a sweater...
