Just being a heterosexual or homosexual is not a sin.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).

The Catholic Church recognizes the power of sex when it teaches, "Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul."

Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person. A chaste person's body and spirit lives in unity and opposes any behavior that would impair that unity.

The purpose of sex is to bring a husband and wife closer and to create human life.

With love in Christ.

If God really said that, then why does the Catholic Church insist that if a man is with a woman it takes him further away from God? And, why does it seem OK to molest young boys? It sounds like God is something of a pedophile.

So how do you figure this? I'm a heterosexual who abhors celibacy just as much as any stereotypical caricature of a homosexual you can make up.

How is it that god is the creator of every and all things and events; that he has a plan; that man is made in his image - but he takes credit only for the good things and avoids all responsibility for the bad and evil, even when done by his earthly representatives. God's behavior seems isomorphic with that of our president.

Nope, certainly ain't. No sexual orientation is a sin, in my book, and, according to some other people, the only one that's a sin is homosexuality.

Gary, just because Catholic priests have molested little boys does not mean God is the pedophile. When God made us, he did not create our actions - we do that all on our own!
