im tired and am becoming ridiculous. but i know if i go to bed i will lay there then start flipping and not sleep. what do you do when this happens to you. i dont use any sleep aids. dont believe in putting that crap in my body.

I know the feeling of sleep-deprived rediculousness. I have lupus and have trouble getting to sleep when I ache. Reduce the light level in the living room an hour before you go to bed. Bright lights will stimulate awakeness. Try a cup of hot milk (sweeteened with sugar and a little vanilla) put on some nice soothing music and keep your bedroom as dark and cool as you can. If I can't fall alseep right away I try counting backwards from 100 slowly but everytime I miss a number I go back to 100 and start again. I rarely make it to 20. Give it a try. I hope you sleep better.

well if you go to bed and cant sleep get back up ..watch TV til your tired.. put the channel on some thing boring ..stay off the computer.. it stimulates your mind and gets you thinking to much.
