I don't know, but hearing someone say "I accept gays", or "I'm gay friendly" or whatever just seems like a control thing to me. It reminds me of an old English king/queen movie where they're tapping the knights with the sword or whatever and declaring their approval or something.
Do straight people really think GLBT's need this "approval"?

Ok I am a light skined black women and my brother is darker. I don't listen to all Rap music somehow my brother said that meens I am not acting black! He called me an oreo! THAT IS JUST WRONG! How black is black enough? What am I to do wear a shirt or something?

Why do people think asians are smart? In school like, last week, in English we were playing a game to study for a cultural terms test that we were gonna take like in a couple of weeks and we were all in groups of 4 so I was like "cool, this could be fun" but I didn't really know all the answers to the questions the teacher was asking the class and then this girl in my group was all like "Aren't you suppose to be smart?" And I was sort of offended by that comment. The test was like weeks away so I didn't spend a whole lot of time studying and looking over the C-Terms. I had other homework to do and work. But seriously kids in my 8th grade think that just because we're asians we're smart. It's so annoying! Americans, Blacks, whoever can totally be smart and get good grades if they study or at least pay attention in class!! I mean I have a 4.0 GPA because I study. Plus they also think that asians are only good in academics but I can totally kick their butts in P.E. and sports!

The CEO of BET is a black woman. BET was created by African-Americans. I've always thought black people were portrayed as gangsta rappers and thugs by the media, but I had no idea African-Americans had a problem with Black Entertainment Television too, because I never watch BET. I have a tendency to give everyone 100 points to start with. The problem with that is when someone makes a mistake and hurts me, points get deleted. Sometimes so much so that I get to a point where I delete the friend.

I'm working hard at changing that and giving everyone 50 points to begin with, then they can earn more or loose faster.

If you had a point system for new people in your life, how would it work for you?

Old Fred had been a faithful Christian and was in the hospital, near death. The family called their preacher to stand with them.

As the preacher stood next to the bed, Old Fred's condition appeared to deteriorate and he motioned frantically for something to write on.

The pastor lovingly handed him a pen and a piece of paper, and Old Fred used his last bit of energy to scribble a note, then he died.

The preacher thought it would be best not to look at the note at this time, so he placed it in his jacket pocket.

At the funeral, as he was finishing the message, he realized that he was wearing the same jacket that he was wearing when Old Fred died. He said, "You know, Old Fred handed me a note just before he died. I haven't looked at it, but knowing Fred, I'm sure there's a word of inspiration there for us all."

He opened the note, and read, "Hey, you're standing on my oxygen tube!"

I'm black, and older white men in their late 60's and older seem to be really nice to me. I don't get it. Is it like a secret code or what? Shouldn't they be racist? Especially what happened the time they were growing up? Jim Crow and all.

so have any of you heard of the invisible children viedo about the war in africa with making the kids kill others? we watched the viedo in my youth group tonight, and its a great but very sad movie. Well alot of poeple in my youth group heard about the braclets.... black is for sunday.... i think thats what there called? is that the braclet for it, or is it named something else? and also, where can you get the braclets? thanks! :D
