No need to pay too much attention right now. The nonsense has been going on too long and is meaningless with all the "wannabes" in there. The debates are a joke, the questions are sophomoric, the answers are sound bites.
The run for president won't get into gear until all those idiotic, egotistical and non-viable candidates drop out and go the heck home.
None of the serious candidates are going to discuss their agenda this early in the campaign with all the nitwits running. Right now it's just a side show.
Yes, there are 2 candidates who I believe would make excellent leaders....but, again, it's too early to make a decision. I'll wait until the field is narrowed down to those who stand a chance and listen to what they have to say about real issues....
Who? Well, just let me say, it's going to be a long time before a Republican will sit in the Oval Office. George Bush is the straw that broke the camels back. The worst and most corrupt administrations of the past 25 years have all been Republicans; Nixon, Reagan and the current idiot. The Republicans have cut their own throats.
Before you jump, be aware that I am truly an independent voter. I owe no loyalty to any party and have voted for both parties in my 67 years at one time or another.
Frankly, anyone who takes office is going to have a tough job cleaning up Bush's mess...it's going to take a long time....and a lot of hard work by the new administration and by we, the people. We sat on our butts and let that madman ruin our country.... We will pay the price for it for generations.

Not many. However, we are back to voting for the lesser of 2 evils. the country is in such a mess right now, its terrible, and we still have over a year to go. Pray that we can last that long. I would not even consider a Republican now, and i AM one, but not for long. I think i will run for president,. Not knowing anything about it makes me a perfect candidate. If you want to hear someone rant and rave , check Lee Iaccoca. He has a good point. I wish people would just wake up. This is not funny, what is happening. And our stupid half baked leaders are letting it happen. Get informed. Pleeeeze.

The more I read & listen [print & telejournalism both] the less secure I feel about voting with either party...both the GOP and the Dems are deeply tainted by their ties to corporate quid-pro-quo donors, all candidates [with the exception of Huckabee, Paul and Kucinich] appear to be willing to sign onto anything to get elected...and the concepts of high principle, personal ethics, and doing the right thing even if the boys in the back room don't like it seem to have disappeared. A 'fusion candidate' would be my dream solution...someone with enough heart & guts to select someone from the other party for VP, and do the same with cabinet posts thereafter...the only way we're gonna break with corporate ownership of the US of A.

I really don't have any faith in those that are running, except
for Mit Romney. But they are making a big fuss because of his religion. I don't know how his Mormon beliefs would affect his decisions as president. I know enough about their background to know they had their own army or militia that
did some atrocious things to innocent pioneers in a wagon
train, that made the history books. But todays' Mormon leaders are a bit more passive. And Mit has nothing to do
with the church elders anyway. Or does he?
I still think if you took someone from middle America and
put him into the White House, we'd stand a better chance of
having an honest man in the "directors chair" and someone
who'd have the average citizens' hopes and needs as their
first priority, instead of lining their pockets somewhere along
the line. It's too bad someone doesn't just stand up and say,
"vote for me I am running for president. Vote for me and
together we'll turn this mess around." I think, he'd get my vote.
We need new blood in the political arena. I wish more people
would come forward to be nominated. If we were all tired of the political games the nominees play with us on our TV screens, maybe we would elect someone who doesn't have the funds to run a campaign, but elect him unanomously, because we want a fresh start, with new faces. How can we loose?

Not exactly. I am trying to follow it. It is getting tougher and tougher to select a President these days. Why don't people just say what they mean, and mean what they say. Right now I am looking at Biden because he has some experience in foreign relations, and sits on the Subcommittees for Immigration Border and Tech Terrorism/homeland. He is for finding a solution regarding energy dependence. But it is still early, and I am still checking out all the other candidates as well since Biden could very well drop out of the race next year.

OMG! Hillary for president? Surely you jest!
I would like to see Biden make it to the primary but doubt it. So I don't think there is anyone qualified either Republican or Democrat who has the ability to get us out of this, as you well put it, quagmire.
Here is our best bet:We all need to get involved and pass legislation to rule against campaign fund raising and end lobbying so that the average American could run, we might have a great president. But as long as the American Elite are in charge...they don't give a hoot about most Americans.

I have been following as closely as I can with out having my eyes permanently crossed. I am fed up with the Republicans and hope the Democrats can to better. Mainly I want us out of Iraq, but something needs to done with the min. wage, social security, crime, the economy, etc, etc, etc.
Bill Richardson sounds pretty good so far, but I don't think he has a chance. I don't want Clinton or Obama. Our Congress has become a joke. They grant themselves raises and now want a four day work week. Meanwhile to many people in this country can't make a living. I'll just keep watching and listening.

All I can say is that I am NOT VOTING for anyone named Clinton. (Thanks for your input Juju! We obviously read the same books.) Also, Hillary has no sense of humor and she is not warm and fuzzy! BUT AT THIS POINT IN THE GAME - I do not believe that there is a Rep. or Dem. running that has all the necessary 'grey matter' to get us out of the Bush quagmire! We have all literally been Bushwhacked and now we need an honest leader who is devoid of special interests, a specialist in international affairs, a trouble-shooter for the Social Sec. Adm. and and and and - - - and in D.C I don't believe that such an animal exists.

Anyone who wins the election can do nothing but lose. Bush has this country in such a mess that it will take a miracle to pull us out of it.. in the past two Republican Administrations (
Reagan and Bush), I have seen such astrononimcal deficit spending it is overwhelming. I am voting Clinton, for she has Bill as an advisor, under his administration, the economy floursihed, we paid down the deficit, and the dollar rose to an all time high...right now, it is headed towards a new bottom that will effect us all big time. I am seriously worried about our economy, as we all should be. Clinton is the only one I think can save us from disaster, and that is only because Bill Clinton knows how to do it. Goldwing

I've only heard one who has any degree of appreciation for the job. Especially the duties prescribed in Article Two of the Constitution. In contrast to many other of my fellow Americans I'm not looking for some Federal Wizard King. Just someone who can do the tasks set down for the Executive Branch in that document.
