The first song I remember slow dancing to was "Turn Back The Hands Of Time" by Tyrone Davis. It wasn't the first but it was the first I remember. I wish I could remember the song I had my first slow dance to but I was so flabbergasted that the guy had asked me to dance that I have no idea what it was.

I was either in the 7th or 8th grade & it was to "Theme From A Summer Place." (by Percy Faith)

I began going to the YMCA dances in my freshmen year of high school & danced my head off. I still love to dance.

At the time, the stroll was considered by me to be a slow dance. My dad taught me the dance and we danced it together at a church "daddy and daughters" night. I think that was my first "slow" dance with the opposite sex.

Probably the Main Theme to Slaughter on 10th Avenue, at dance school, when I was 9...my mother made me take ballroom that year, every Saturday morning, downtown, Indianapolis. Glad she did...it is a skill that has lasted my entire life...the only one. Goldwing
