It is a problem because so many come over here without offering anything in return. Hospitials, emergency rooms, schools, jails and welfare offices are full of illegal immigrants who don't contribute tax money to help pay for these services. Also, since they are illegal and fear the law, they can be taken advantage of and forced to work in cheap, unsafe conditions that citizens would not accept. This drives down the value of the job. Welding used to be a very good skilled labor job that payed $20 an hour and more. Now it is close to a minimum wage job because of illegals.

I don't think immigration is such a big problem. I think it is more illegal immigration. Legal immigration is what made our country. With illegal immigration it is slowly being torn apart .

Because, people come into the United States and get jobs and are paid very cheaply to work. They take this money and other perks we Americans enjoy and contribute nothing back into the system. So we are being sucked dry . They don't pay taxes, they aren't checked for any illnesses, and they do not learn our language or customs. Then, we have to figure out how to support them and their children. Standard of living goes down. (This is assuming these people are illegal.)

i've got considered different human beings making claims that unlawful immigrants value us different funds in social classes. additionally they make obscure claims of criminal pastime, in spite of the particular indisputable fact that those are in many circumstances unsubstantiated, and merely approximately completely exaggerated, different than for identity fraud. the human beings who've concentrated on the financial aspects have disregarded the actual indisputable fact that the illegals frequently do pay taxes (simply by fact of this they're employing pretend SSNs, so as that they could pay taxes), and that whilst they do suppress wages in some sectors, additionally they suppress fees to agencies, and for this reason to purchasers, and, from time to time, their low salary exertions is to blame for conserving agencies from folding simply by foreign places opposition. they do no longer generally pay aspects taxes to help colleges, yet they do pay hire to landlords who could get tax abatements if their residences have been empty. i do no longer prefer to characterize that each and every thing approximately immigration is powerful for each guy or woman. There are some clean losers simply by immigration - specifically low skill individuals who could desire to compete with human beings keen to paintings harder for much less funds. on the different hand, something persons earnings lots from this low value exertions, yet different the time, we don't understand the advantages whilst they're coming in. the situation, then, is the social device which aspects out too many reward, no longer the immigration. almost each and every particular element human beings mentioned could desire to be solved by allowing a lot of those immigrants to return in legally, yet reducing them off from social amenities.

The illegal immigrants from Mexico are causing a lot of tension in my part of the USA. Many industries want them here for cheap labor. Many citizens are tired of providing welfare benefits, public education for their children and free medical care (at the ER) for the illegals. Their total disregard for our immigration laws bothers me. They send most of their money back to Mexico, so the Mexican government wants them in the USA. As long as they are being hired for jobs they will keep coming. I say make their employers do some jail time or pay huge fines. That might slow it down.

Because people haven't just been taking advantage of the resources, like they have for hundreds of years - they've been doing it illegally. Now back when the Pilgrims came over here and then formed a new nation to avoid the bad things they were facing in their home country, they did the same thing: think Pilgrims then = Mexicans now, Indians then = U.S. citizens now. But now the u.s. has all these laws the Indians didn't have before. Maybe the U.S. is just good at detecting these types of things, since they did it themselves. Who knows.

Because illegal immigration brings cheap labor to big business, and big business pays off our politicians, and politicians will not enforce our immigration laws, and protect our borders.

Because of greed. There are so many people and companies who use the cheap labor to increase profit margins. The illegals are not the problem, the people who employ them and give them a reason to come are the problem

People feel it is a problem because it is not white

If it were white blondes coming over the border in hordes, I'm certain few of those crying about Mexican immigration now would care.
