There IS a modern day colorline.

And, Asians are honorary whites.

The lighter Asians and the lighter Hispanics mix, mingle, & collaborate with mainstream white America freely. They are in the club.

The darker Asians and Hispanics -- those clearly brown or clearly different - are in some middle ground between whites and blacks.

It is light people -- brown people -- black people.

The extremes will deny this. The far, far, right will throw hate at anyone who is not "pure" Nordic -- including Asians and even at the dark white i.e. Italians. The far left will say race is "an outmoded concept" and accept all people -- including Asians -- as brothers.

The mainstream has an inbetween view. Mainstream whites agree with the far right as far as focusing most of their racial animus at the black bogey man but agree with the far left when it comes to accepting Asian people.

realistically, it's whites vs nonwhites, because whites created this racial superiority notion, after conquering half of the world, while other races were not as primitively or neanderthalically aggressive in nature nor did they have a desire or need to conquer. usually it's small countries that like to expand and invade, such as britain, japan, rome, etc. while others like china or india had bigger issues to deal with such as keeping its country intact since they are already large countries to begin with.

as far as technicality of colors are concerned, asian would fit in the middle of the line, while both ends of the colorline being whites on one end and blacks on the other.

colorline:
white ------ yellow/red/brown -------- black

I dont think color is important. we are all equal and should not be put in separate categories. instead of calling each other Mexican, White, Black, Asian, or anything else, we should just call ourselves humans. We should all get along. : )

When that line gets drawn you are either white or non-white. That is generally how its gone over the years.
