I am Eskimo, and have heard that the lower 48 (states) are the original People. Except for Lucy in Africa.

Do they at least respect this, or is it taboo?

OF COURSE THEY SHOULD! I just wanted to further weed out the ignorance of this board with this question. Being sexual orientation has no bearing on ability to serve in the military. In fact the Spartans (of ancient Greece) were one of the most feared militaries of all time and the majority of the soldiers were homosexual/bisexual. The Spartans found that the soldiers fought harder for one another because they shared a bond and would lay down their lives for a fellow soldier to live. If a loved one died on the battlefield, the soldiers would fight even harder to avenge their death. So my conclusion is that homosexual people are actually better fit to serve than heterosexual people and that we should have a whole elite homsexual part of the army that would be modern day Spartans and would be feared as the best fighters in the world. I would join it even if I had to lie and say I was homosexual even though I am Bi!

I confessed my feelings for my gay male friend because I am in love with him. I KNEW he wouldn't tell me that he felt the same but love is love and I couldn't deny it any longer.I told him face to face... he just said that someday I will find someone and reminded me he was gay. Well, I wrote him an e-mail to further express how I felt because I had to ( if you only knew what was going on in my head ) and wrote it as soon as I left his house - figured it would be my last chance to really tell him how I felt. I know that he is gay, I don't need to be reminded.
But now I am waiting for him to respond, as he said he would - but told me he needed time.
My question is,
if you were him in this situation, how long would it take you to respond? why would it take you time to respond?
It's been a week now... and we've talked once during the past week.

I've talked to girls before, and I've reached out to some of them in ways in the past, but now a days I've gotten so fed up with relationships and girls, that when I see them in public places, meaning the ones I want to talk to talk to or that catch my eye, I get this blanking effect, where I get nervous, and then I just don't know what to say at all, seriously, I've done this so much that I honestly don't know what is the best way to spark a conversation, for that matter, what to say at all, so what is a good way to get over my nerves, and just go with the flow, I know this sounds pretty sad but I'm at the end of my rope here, I honestly don't know how to get past my nerves enough to actually act like a normal sociable human being, and I'm starting to think that if this trend continues I will never be able to stop it.

For example this guy I know generally treats girls like crap, thinks of them as nothing more than mere sexual objects, and generally doesn't care about them, yet he gets the girls all the time, while I on the other hand, really care about what a girl has to say, because I'd rather have a smart average girl, than a stupid hot girl, also I take them to nice places, i.e. to the movies, out to eat, and places they ask me to go, I even watch movies with them that I totally hate, tell them there beatuiful and mean it, only tell them I love them when I truly mean it, I think you get the picture by now. Yet I always end up where I started, or lets just be friends, or your not my type. I know, a lot of people would say, "dude, just don't be yourself, be the guy she wants you to be, and if all else fails, lie!". Well thats not me, and it will never be me, I'm sorry, but it won't, to some that may sound lame and stupid, but I still have a little class, and moral fiber left in my body.

I am a 100% heterosexual male! But I have this obsession on wanting to feel what it would be like to become a girl for a while! What does that mean? And I've never liked other men.

I'm not a racist, far from it, but I have no idea how it is accepted for races to call themselves their own slander but if other races use it, it is a horrible act.

Someone please explain how this happened and why it is acceptable. I am very curious to know.

My boyfriend and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. I got tickets to a concerts he's really excited to see and has wanted to go to since it was announced as an anniversary gift. I gave it to him in a card in his suitcase, since he had to travel for work on our anniversary. In return, I got nothing. He didn't get me a card. He didn't get me a gift. The only thing he really felt like doing to celebrate was to make dinner together at home.

I kinda feel hurt that he didn't take the time to do anything. I'm not saying I wanted anything special...just something to show he thought about the date...

Am I being too harsh?

...and which is most prominent?

I don't know why I'm asking this. Just curious I guess.

Me - I'm 1/2 South Asian and 1/2 African. My mother is from India; my father from Kenya. I've got dark skin, frizzy hair (currently styled in dreadlocks), and green eyes (I have no idea how that happened).

I have known a few Amish people in my life and I think we all need to come forward and help them out in this dark time....
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061002/ap_on_re_us/amish_school_shooting

Amish people have been my babysitter and the growers of my food. They have an awesome work ethic and are the best "Christians" they can be. They dress plain and have a live and let live attitude about all of us heathens....

C'mon people.... tell us how proud you are to have Amish neighbors!

Do you people know what some gay people go though because they are so ashamed about their sexuality. There are churches that put gay people though shock treatment to change them. I saw a documentary about a gay guy who did this very thing. He wanted to be straight so bad he let the church shock him painfully as he looked at pictures of men. He was so depressed he tried to kill himself. To all you hardcore christians. Think for yourself for just one second. Why the f()ck would gay people chose that life?
How can call youself a christian if you torture people to change them to follow the belief of a bunch of war hungry christian 2000 years ago that have visions and supposed magical powers.

Do you think Catfish from a river taste better than Catfish from a Stock Pond? I think the Stock Pond Catfish has no flavor, and I have'nt had fresh Catfish in years. I ate it growing up as a Kid and can still remeber how incredible it taste. Do you have any expierences like that. Things you remember as a child that were better than what is available now. It doesn't have to be food related.
