I have known a few Amish people in my life and I think we all need to come forward and help them out in this dark time....

Amish people have been my babysitter and the growers of my food. They have an awesome work ethic and are the best "Christians" they can be. They dress plain and have a live and let live attitude about all of us heathens....

C'mon people.... tell us how proud you are to have Amish neighbors!

This really bothers me because I was looking into becoming Amish. I love their work ethic, traditions, family values and way of life. The Amish stay to themselves and don't bother anyone. As an Urban dweller and African-American their sense of values really make sense to me. The Amish were singled out for silly reasons and out of jealousy by this clown. How sick are people these days? When was the last time you even heard of the Amish doing anything negative to anyone? I really shook up my world since I was positioning my self to be the first Amish-African-American. Now do you realize how much fear that is causing me. You just can't escape violence. Nothing is sacred any more! What is this world coming to?

I really feel for the Amish people. They are non-violent people with a great sense of pride in their lives and their religion. They are also willing to help each other and even willing to help non Amish people. I know thier religion will give them the strength and ability to move forward. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart and prayers are definitely with them in PA now. The evil is really out of control in the world today. We can all try to make it a point to do good for one another and make the world a better place in honor of Amish and all Christians alike!

Every once in awhile I think about how Amish people live and I strive to live a better life because of it.

Don't they still build things without screws and nails. Using dove tail joints and such.

A lost art.
