because blacks get to have a monopoly over most of the highly televised sports, smoke crack, eat too much fried chicken, rob the pawn shop, get free guns, sit on the porch all day, and drink forties, collect welfare, and jump really high.

Where I grew up there were a lot of children of Indian immigrants, and many of them were really into hip-hop culture too. My theory is that it's a well-developed counterculture (nonwhite) that people feel they can relate to, especially if they've had to deal with a lot of racism and alienation.
