Do you think Catfish from a river taste better than Catfish from a Stock Pond? I think the Stock Pond Catfish has no flavor, and I have'nt had fresh Catfish in years. I ate it growing up as a Kid and can still remeber how incredible it taste. Do you have any expierences like that. Things you remember as a child that were better than what is available now. It doesn't have to be food related.

River cat is the best eating there is, agree with ya 100 percent.
People were kinder to one another when i was younger.

yeah...i've tasted catfish from both river and stock pond...yup, the river catfish have a distinctive flavor although i do like the stockpond ones too, i just love catfish!
things that i remember as a child, being better than now? you must be kidding, i could go on and on! no. 1 would be, the different responsibilities i had as a child as compared to now!

Growing up in the South, catfish was a staple on our table. Supper was whatever we managed to catch, trap or shoot, with a side dish right out of the backyard garden. Never heard of stock ponds back then.

If the water in the river is clean and it is not a mudcat - instead a blue cat then it is delicious. River cats in muddy water taste like mud. Pond grown - unless very small - are bland. I think it is because of all the grain in their food.

well i believe we used to eat fish we caught before, not from the pond. i hadn't tried catfish though.

Leaving aside the catfish business, may I ask you what your question has to do with LGBT? Or it is suggestive of some sort of hypothesis that catfish is in-thing for members of LGBT.

I remember fresh fried chicken. Daddy would go out in the yard and kill the chicken and clean it. It tasted so much better than the store bought chicken.
