Ha - I like South of Nowhere even though I'm way beyond high school. I really enjoy that it's just a regular part of the story and that sexuality is viewed fairly honestly from a few different perspectives. Plus, two teenage women having a romance on a family show that's been picked up for a second season... that's great!

Ellen (the sitcom) was probably the biggest one. The L Word is fun; but kind of demeaning to us Lesbians, depending on how you look at it.

in view which you're diseased. Dis-eased with the/ your (self). The "diva" on your call shows how. It shows you care plenty greater how others pereceive your sexuality as oppose the your character. this way of dis-ease with the self frequently brings DRAMA (from different diseased people aka WANNABE DIVAS).

in my opinion, it's definitely "the L word". there's just so many issues regarding lesbians/bisexual/transgendered/confused women that arise from this show...and it very much humanizes the community rather than seeing us as weirdos or something. as a resident assistant, i am able to use this show to talk to my residents about how they feel about different issues, especially those regarding homosexuality and the cultural stigma placed on it (especially in my case with the Latino culture), issues regarding gay marriage, religion in the gay community, media/tv portrayal of gay women and its effect on society, parenting, relationships, bisexuality, etc...just so many interesting topics. i love it.
