I beleive that a large amount of unwanted pregnancies and STD (AIDS, etc.) could be prevented by providing proper sexual education to youth (under 16 years old). This of course would not prevent irresponsibility but would provide education which I believe is severly lacking and the cause of these problems. Does such a registered charity with this focus exist?

My nephew was in the hospital this weekend and I realized that many babies and children were also sick. We're usually an absurdly healthy family, I've only been to the hospital 3 times in my life and those were for family pregancies. I never thought about the kids in hospitals until this weekend. I think I'd like to volunteer with kids or something like that. I used to do VISTA and set up monthly kids activities and working with kids was a lot of fun. I think I'l like to do something similar. I also felt sorry for some of the babies whohad no one to hold them, unlike my nephew who had at least 2 people sitting with him most of the time. I was in the NCU with my sister and sometimes a baby would cry and the nurses wouldn't come immediately.They're busy and can't come running every time a baby cries. There were volunteers to hold babies when they cried so I wonder if I should volunteer for that. Does anyone volunteer in hospitals who can tell me about it?

My sister died in 2002. She left her mobile home to her son who is unable to maintain it. He is now 22 years old, no parents, unemployed. His family is trying to help him with decisions. The mobile home needs new flooring, plumbing, and general repairs. Is there an organization or company he can donate to? Thank you for your sincere responses.

Hi there

I would like to know are any charities out there which would help a charity that I am with (St Cleopas Urban Aid Project) in terms of providing funds/grants or even equipment to set up an Internet connection for 10 computers in the building of the charity.
Has anyone used any other charities in similar situations for their charity or got services/consultancy from organisations that offer discounts to charities for internet and network setups?
