I was asking, hypathetically, if there is a parent who is disabled and has nobody to help, no friends or family, IS THERE A SERVICE, ORGANIZATION OR ANYWHERE to get IN-HOME care and DAILY ASSISTANCE with their children that DOES NOT include foster care or taking the child out of the home AT ALL. These parents in question do NOT abuse their children, they are poor and disabled only. Thank you for considering the actual question i am asking.

The children range in age from about 4-10 and I only have an hour, so I need something that is contained in that time frame and is craft-like. I am trying to think of an idea that will benefit others and be enjoyable for the children.

I recently lost someone ... He passed away from an automobile accidents on Jan .7 .07
We were very very close....
I miss him dearly....he is my hero and everything to me.
I had lost my relative, a friend and my Grandma in the past....but the pain is nothing like this one.

at first ...i was just crying...then it got easier...but then, when it was his Birthday...it got even worst....
Now i'm depressed, i dont want to live and every second of my head is filled with his memories and i keep asking myself : why and why does He (God) take him away??

I was wondering if any of you had this kind of experience?
how long does it take you to get over the death of your loved ones? were you depressed and suicidal?

I have medications that didn't work out for me... I get migraines & depression, and they have tested me on certain drugs-that just didn't work right. Most the medications, I have bought with my own money (with insurance) and then, I have SAMPLE packs given to my by the doctor.

I have them stored up in my house because I can not bear to throw them away knowing that so MANY people can not afford to pay for prescriptions, yet I am pretty sure I can not advertise them for someone to take-- b/c they are prescription and I am not a doctor.... Is there any place that take donations of that sort? I have blood pressure medication, medication that treats depression, and medications that treat seizures... They are all still "good", as I am STILL in the process of finding the right combo. It sucks to just throw them away, I know people struggle to pay for these EXACT medications. Just curious, if anyone had a suggestion.

I live in Ontario and need to have a criminal backgroud check done for volunteering purposes. I was told I need to have proof of residence. I'm a student and rent an apartment, I don't have ny bills in my name and am not under a lease (my roommate is and I was added on later so I have no copy of a lease). I keep all of my documents under my parents home address because this address is short term. What can I use for proof of residence?? I get a credit card bill at this address, but I don't think I can use that. ANyone have any ideas? Will my landlord be able to give me something as proof? I'm confused

I want to start a project to aid shelters with children't birthdays. I'd love for it to be something that could grow into a non profit but right now I need to start small and test the waters. I am having a difficult time finding info on where to start and how. For example, do I just start collecting birthday party items and then try to find shelters? How do I organize this so it can be most effective? Most important I need funders because I can't afford to pay out of pocket. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks a bunch! :)

There is that big fat pink hog in our wood. He was abominable: stole poultry and small animals, ate vegetables in the garden, chased girls if they went into the wood, and many other bad things. So, we trapped him (he is a Texan feral hog and it's the only way to deal with them).
We thought that we'd be ok. But now the wood is teemed with many big pink fat hogs. There is always competition among hogs, and big pig fat hog was the biggest and meanest and scared them all away.
Now they are all back, and do multiple damage.
Should we release the big fat pink hog to deal with the other hogs, or should we try to trap them as well? (There are so MANY of them!)

I am a HUGE fan of U2, and love the charities and organizations that they have started and helped fund, such as One, Red, Amnesty International etc.... These are amazing and I think will really make a difference if taken seriously. I try to participate as much as I can in any little way that I can, who else takes part in this or any other charities out there?
