2. Detail on Re-Cycle ...
"Charity 'taking old bikes to new places'. Will receive, but cannot collect, unwanted bicycles (millions rust in garages), and ships them to five African countries. Requests donation towards shipping with each bike. Will also receive old tools and parts. Working also with Greenwich Cycling Campaign, who will receive bikes from July 2003. It sets up workshops with local partners to teach people how to repair and maintain bikes. In South Africa, Re-Cycle has set up a charity, Afribike, helping people save 1/4 of their income spent on transport."

particular you're able to do this, even if it you will nonetheless be out of pocket for the variety between the donation and the tax value reductions. in case you donated the $10k you will shop approximately $3,3 hundred in taxes yet might nonetheless have $6,seven hundred decrease than you will possibly have had in case you had no longer made the donation. certainly, $250k falls approximately halfway interior the 33% bracket so which you will no longer drop a bracket besides. Spending money to shop taxes very practically by no potential pays off. Make the donation for the best that it does, no longer for any tax value reductions.

Go to the local Council for Voluntary Service for your Borough - see www.navca.org.uk for the nearest. They will know what the need is locally. Pity you are not in Cambridge - we have a great organisation here which trains learning disabled people to revamp bikes and sells them on to support the work of the organisation!
