I am a teen and i really want to volunteer in my local area but i dont know where to find postings for volunteer work. i live on long island, new york. does anyone know any websites with listings?

Sorry for the confusion earlier. I meant Wales or England. After more research I learned he was last from Cardiff, Wales. I hope this is right, its what I am told from several relatives and I am gathering info to search the web for my great uncle. We haven't heard from him since Dec '06 and he is in his 80's. Thank you for any and all information.

I've failed to graduate from my previous university now i would like to join a new university and graduate, my father claims he does not have money to spend on my studies anymore. But I'm sure if he can spend money on me this time i WILL make it and i have a very bright future. Please tell me how to convince him so that I may receive help from him for my studies. Thanks.

I have tried all of those sites that come up on the search like volunteer match or something like that and la works too. I live near Pasadena, S. California and there isn't anything that really interests me, and if it does, there is always something that restricts me from taking it up (example, age) i'm 14 and most of their requirements are 18 or older. I want this volunteer opportunity to be unique, one that isn't "popular" in my school, so that i can meet other people, reach out to others. So far, i haven't been able to find a program that suits me, and i have been looking for about a year. Does anyone know of a volunteer opportunity/program that i might be interested in?

I'm currently fourteen years old. I'm pretty much open for any kind of volunteer work. But I'm especially interested in tutoring, museum, and hospital related works. Any idea?

Also, just curious. Do I get volunteer hours for volunteering outside of school? Because I need to apply for a program offered at school for academic leaders with volunteer experience. So it requires me to fill in all the volunteer work that I've done and I wasn't sure if I should write things that were not frorm like a club offered at a school.
