can u find out if u are living near a peedo. is there a website that allows u2 beaware of child sex offenders?

i am led to believe there is a man on my street who is a peedo. i just want to know for peace of mind whether he is or isnt as he as already spoken to my daughter last week and today i was told he is a peedo so any information on finding out if he is on the sex offenders list i would be greatful

in the UK we do not have acsess to a register & there is no website either, sarah's law has still not been fully passed so in the UK we have no way of finding out.
I personaly would go to yr local police stn, spot out the most mummsy looking one out of them & ask her direct, tell her people are talking about him & that a lot of people have heard he has a hist of interfering with children - if he moves out shortly after the conversation then the police probably moved him on for his own safety

There is a law preventing the names of child sex offenders being released in the UK (although there is talk of changing that), but in America, a lot of states / cities require that sex offenders register on a certain website.

There might be a list if you go onto your county's website. I know that there is for my county, and it is very informative, with pictures, addresses, and the specific offenses of the predators.

If the man has already spoken to your daughter, you might consider calling the police station and inquiring about him. They should definitely have a list of offenders, and if he is one, I'm sure they would appreciate you letting them know that he has been in contact with your daughter.

You are right. I'm truly sorry you are lonely, but you should not bring your children into his reach. Your parents are showing some bad judgement if they think he is a suitable person to be around children. He is a pedophile and drug addict, what might they be exposed to?! If your brother is still blaming things on drugs he may even not accepting responsiblity for his sickness. Also, your brother may be a pedophile as a result of abuse he experienced. If he was abused, who did it to him? What else are your parents in denial about? Guard your children, that is your job. I hope you can convince your husband as well. By the way, for me, I found it to be lonely when my kids were 0-4ish. As your kids get older you will make more friends in your community - and they may become like family to you.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything like this in the UK. This is what Sarah Payne's mother is trying to bring in (Sarah's law) which I believe has been very successful in the US (Is it Megan's law?)

Either way, I would warn my kids about the dangers of talking to anyone they don't know as I'd rather be safe than sorry.

be very careful that you do not accuse a innocent man, a man in my area was beaten almost to death , by false information ,
he turned out to be a lonely pensioner. the offender got 3 years

i always look up sex offenders in the hood i live in texas so i just look up texas dept of public safety,,,,,,,,,,,where we get our licenses from they have the hook up

my pal became a peedo from urinating outside and there a validictorian and i think thats krap its not like hes waving it over his head twirling it in circles when you have to go you have to go there is a difference between talking and developing a relationship with someone before they are ripe and doing things to someone verses teaching someone somthing and you over reacting
