The organization provided social services for people who are survivors of sexual and domestic violence. There is a 24hour hot line as well as counseling, and housing available for those in need. The event will be a walk for the cause, and the donations will be used at the end of the walk, at a picnic where there will be motivational speakers, and the community will gather together to spread awareness about the issue.

It's pretty much my life goal to eventually join the Peace Corps and travel around the world helping people. I would really enjoy it. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it or if you've been in the Peace Corps before and you have experiences to share?

I run a small conservation park and our cages and enclosures are falling apart. We have only been open to the public for a short time and don't even have enough funds to advertise. We are desperate for sponsors to either sponsor a project or even an animal. Any ideas how we can raise the cash we need. Or even how we could get companies interested in sponsoring us financially or with building materials.

I feel like a bit of an idiot doing this but it's been on my mind. I made friends with some people in The Three Sisters bar in Edinburgh, called Steven, ( a taxi driver and "massuse" he said) Stu - investment and another lad who dealt with property i think... now i doubt anyone will know them but if you do by any chance tell steven that we didn't run off from him in the night club when they followed us in there, we just popped to the loo and then they were gone.. maybe they ran off from us!!! .but i just felt bad about it as they were nice lads and i'd hate them to think we had snubbed him. So next time you get into a taxi in Edinburgh, ask if he's called Steven and if he's 40, and mention this to him and let him know the girl with the wonky nose said hello! He'll know what you mean.
he can let me know he got the message by finding my e-mail address on my profile...
I am not stalking him, i have a boyfriend and he knew, but i liked him a lot and his friends were nice too.

I would like to go door to door and offer my service of painting the house address on the curb for residents in neighborhoods. I would be donating 75% of money earned to a particular charity. What is required in order for me to do this? Do I need a permit? Would I need to write bill of sales at the homes where they receive this service since the money that they donate is tax deductible?

I recently became a Student Senator at my local community college. As part of the senator requirement, I must take part in a "Senator Project," in which the board member organizes or plays a role in an activity that improves the school. For example, one of the groups has tried to enforce a "25 foot from the building rule" for smokers, or tried to setup other alternatives for our smoking classmates. Other students used funding to buy sports equipment such as wiffleballs and flag football in the yard that students could rent out with their school ID.

Does anyone have a general idea that I can try to work on for my school? I'm not asking it specifically for my college because I feel that all schools share some of the same essential problems.

Thanks in advance.

The premise behind the Academy Award nominated film Babel is that modern society is a melting pot of cultures that tend to avoid solidarity as a global community. To create awareness that goodness should not know boundaries or prejudice, Oscar nominated actress Adriana Barraza asks the above question.

I ran out of charactors. What I mean is without any kind of accountability what-so-ever? In Hawaii it is against the law to feed the pidgeons simply because during the high tourist season they would thrive and reproduce and then the low season would occur causing the young birds to die. Feeding the homeless is a noble undertaking but it does nothing to solve the problem. Without accountability or even basic case management the consumers drift back to the streets to await another free meal. One month of defense budget spending would go a long way to overworked sociologists.
