I would NEVER throw clothes away, but I'm kinda a germ freak. I'm a little scared that if I donate old clothes it will spread germs. So is donating the best thing to do, or is there something better? If there is please tell me!!! :)

The problem is i'm not exactly sure what to do. A soup kitchen would now work since there are many. I want to do something for the kids in the area and i want to try and form an organization for them/ or for donations. I'm not sure how to do this because many things won't be safe to do either. My friends and I are having a garage sale and all the proceeds are going to go to the American Cancer Society. My scool is having a Relay for Life and we're fundraising.

So what are some good ways to advertise a big garage sale? And I say big because not only is there going to be a lot of stuff, but all the money is going to a good cause.

Question Details: On 20th of November there was an article in Times of India for this foundation. Its web site is www.vsffoundation.ca An NRI has established this foundation which "Helps the needy". The founder is an engineer from IIT Delhi Estableshed in Canada since last 40 years. He has a quest for search for god Not the hindu, Mislim Christain,jew Parsi or Sikh God. The God of all human being. As it says he sponsorers the universities for this kind of work. It has its orkut group known as www.vsffoundation.ca which invites volentiers & honerary members to join by giving their name & phone number So that foundation can use their experties. A work which will be very useful for the resume. Is there any harm in joining a foundation like this? With whome I can contact by phone or by email or by post only I have not seen it. & I have to work as volentier. When I wanted some of the cases references they said we mentain peoples privacy it is against our to disclose somebody's identity
