Call your local United Way agency. There area many places that take such donations, not just the Salvation Army and Goodwill. I don't know about all cities, but some have furniture banks which help people in need, and battered women's shelters are always in need of clothes.

The Salvation Army and Goodwill are obvious choices, but there may be other charities in your area. Where I live, the local mission has a thrift store, the Humane Society has a thrift store and a group which helps homeless teens has a store. Look in the phone book.

You can donate used clothes to the Salvation Army or to the Red Cross. Women's shelters are always looking for used clothes as well.

Besides the above mentioned you can also look for a free sell and buy on the internet they have a link for free stuff....sometimes tere are people that need clothes and are new to the country.

I dont like goodwill sometimes..they charge too much and people are too poor to afford more than one item. They need it to be as cheap as possible like free.

Find out where the shelters are and give it to the person in charge

I think you should ask church and try to find out the families/people that are in need.

Go walk downtown to all the homeless give it out according to size..and necessity. When you go to a foreign country go to poor areas..give out

There is a website called freecycle.org that you can join and be a member of. This is a site to prevent things from going to the landfills. You can post items so that other members can email you and say why they may need it as well you can post that you are ISO in search of items as well.No money is ever to be exchanged. Everything shall be freely given and received. Every city has this. Check it out. I hope this helps.

in case you unquestionably need to assist, donate to Shelters for women. they desire those products to assist women start up their lives lower back. many cases they bypass away there homes in the direction of the night from an abusive husband or boyfriend. and that they are able to have childrens too. They bypass to a safeguard until eventually they get a job or information and then they help them get an place of living and start up over. you may call women safeguard or kinfolk source centers. those different communities sell them for funds. and that i'm getting disillusioned because of the fact they sell them for a extreme cost instead of cheap so as that the undesirable could have the money for them. it particularly is greed.
