Basically I want to help out this summer at an orphange but I don't know how. Are there any websites or methods to find out more information? I would like to find some opportunities here, or similar countries. Thanks

I'm part of a group of Americans, Europeons, Chinese and Tibetans who are building an orphanage this summer. It won't be "open for business" until the summer is over. But if you would like to come with us to visit and work at the site, you would be getting in on the ground floor of a project that you could work on for the rest of your life. A few people will be teaching the kids their ABC's. We have started a foundation here in the States to fund the facility. The site is a pristine Tibetan village. I was the first westerner ever to visit there. The villagers carry out their lives much as they did hundreds of years ago. There are not many ammenities, but the place has a physical and spiritual purity to it. If interested, please contact me at nontartibet@yahoo.com. We would love to have anyone interested in experiencing Tibetan culture and helping children first hand.

Hello,

You can contact orphanages from China and ask them if they allow you to volunteer.

You should try this link: http://www.myorphanage.org/asia/china/index.php
