Does anyone know of a Military charity in SE Michigan that takes used car donations where the Vets get the car to sell for parts and get to keep the money they make from it? I have a good used car that I would like to donate to something like that. But only if the vet who gets the car gets to sell it for parts and keep all the money they make from it. Please give website or phone number if you have it. Charity Orgs only please.

I'm actually starting to think about creating a volunteer organization. It would be designed for college / high school students to help out during the summers. We could do fundraising... All kinds of things. Once it gets going, I could advertise it in the newspaper, or ask them if they'll write an article on it. Does anyone know what it takes besides just having a few people get together? What else would I need?

Anyone know of any good volunteer organizations I can check out? I found a homeless shelter, but they require a minimum commitment that I can't meet.

I'm in Massachusetts.

I'm not a U.S citizen, and I want to find an international one. Security of the organisation is my first priority, but I'm willing to go to a developing country. I'm planning to go for about a week or two, bit too short but I want to experience how it is like. If any one has any ideas or knows of some groups, please tell me.

I posted this question on another catagory also because I really would like some serious input from multiple sources. Do you think there is going to be a military draft with all the stuff going on? Longer deployments, More world issues ie. Iran. And do you think drafting illegal immigrants first before we grant 6 million citizenship is a good idea? We would have a pretty big army!

I have a ton of gently used and some new baby items. The clothes are all boy, some may be gender neutral. I'm in North Texas. I was hoping to find an orphanage or some similar place that will accept these items. I want to make sure that they are given to someone who really needs them.

I live in a 2-bedroom apartment, all my neighbor have at least 7 guys live in a same unit. It's a huge community (more than 2000) but 90% are Mexican, they play music since 5PM up all night, some times until 2AM, I complain to the landlord, they never care. Another problem is, there's two laundry room near my unit, in each laundry room, there's 3 washer and 4 dryer inside, the first laundry has only 1 washer and 0 dryer are working, anothr laundry room is not working AT ALL, and the most disgusting thing is, the laundry room smells like public toliet which never been cleaned, very very dirty. I called the apartment ask them to fix or replace new washer/dryer, and clean the room, they never care and never change and clean. How should i do? is any goverment organization i can call? please help me.

I have started an outreach program with the kids in a depressed area, and now it has grown so big I could no longer handle it with my limited resources. I now have about 160 kids attending our sunday afternoon activities and I have ran out of materials to use. Sometimes, when I have no money I am forced to skip a sunday and it really makes me feel awful. I really need help!

We can all help. If you have an extra dollar in your pocket you can help. You don't even have to have money, just go to your local food bank or homeless shelter and spend time with the children. Bring old clothes, shoes and canned foods. Anything will help. Just help!

I spend a lot of time on the internet and often see people that set up accounts for charitable contributions. But... What is considered charity? I am in the process of building a home but have to pay some medical bills from an emergency surgery for my husband that wasn't covered by our insurance. Do you know of a way that I could raise funds or get these "charitable contributions" in order to pay these bills off so I can close on my house next month?
