We can all help. If you have an extra dollar in your pocket you can help. You don't even have to have money, just go to your local food bank or homeless shelter and spend time with the children. Bring old clothes, shoes and canned foods. Anything will help. Just help!

A lot of people think they can't help or they don't have time or it won't really make a difference. THESE ARE JUST EXCUSES. Everyone has the same number of hours in a day and can make time to help those less fortunate. While some people could care less, not everyone is selfish like them. Most people would like to help if they got a chance, but sometimes they just get busy in other things or procrastinate. Personally, I really enjoy volunteering and help out others any chance I can get. I think everyone should take the time out to volunteer. Volunteering is a beautiful thing. It's all it takes to make a small difference in this world!

A. Some do not think it concerns them. They cannot connect their existence with those of others.
B. Some believe that poor people are lazy people. They say that if the poor wants to help themselves, they should go out and have jobs. This is of course a limited view: they cannot see that the poor are more often than not poor in opportunities, not just money. If they are poor, they could not go to better schools and get better jobs afterwards. Sometimes, the psychology of being poor also limits their ability to believe that there is a way out for them: that they can help themselves.
C. Some say they don't have enough excess money or time. But helping out does not have to involve thousands of bucks and giving your time need not mean a whole year or so. A day or two helping out in the shelter, or a buck for a foundation are good ways too. It's just that, maybe, they cannot see the direct impact of their assistance in the community. They should try getting involved more.

They do not aware that when they die all their wealths will be left that the only good doings including given wealths will accompany them when they will be burried..In line with islamic teaching we should love and help other and we should
not abandon someone who is crying for foods and clothes. They do not practice what God has instructed to them for caring other..They do not be conscious too that in their wealths and incomes at least 2.5% is the right of the poor.

Because people feel that volunteering has to involve a lot of hours (which it doesn't; lots of volunteer jobs call for just 2-3 hours a week or month!) and that $1.00 can't help. As you so well pointed out though, this is faulty thinking. For those on a tight budget who want to help a lot - consider giving each month through automatic withdrawal from your savings or checking account. I give $5. a month to my favorite charity which comes to $60. a year, way more than I could afford at once!

Because alot of people are lazy and selfish.Others just dont care.As for me I help out whenever I can and I feel good doing it.Theres poverty out there in the world and it could of been stopped but everyone is too greedy and rather spend it on something dumb than on feeding a poor kid who is dying.Kids in Africa and other third world countries are dying everyday and people should start caring and being thankful that whether you like it or not live in agreat country. And even if you dont have money alot of kids need someone to look up to other than thugs and drug addicts.

Amen to that. If we all committed to finding out where our own local food pantry or shelter is and dropped off a few dollars of extra canned foods whenever we did our own shopping we could really make a huge difference.
