You know they said things that weren't true, so either they're guilty of false prophesying or just lying. Are they false prophets or liars, or both? If you deny that they never gave a false prophesy or have lied, then that shows you are unknowledged about your organization and that you're in denial.

So, can you tell me what false prophesies/lies they have told? What "truths" did you put your trust in that they broke? Did you ever feel let down? Lied to? Did you ever feel they weren't trustworthy? Did you ever feel they broke a promise? I'd really like to know.

There's this passage from the bible that says,"...nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material. Levit. 19:19. Does it mean that Christians who are against tattoos (Levit. 19:28) and gays (Levit. 18:22) should also be against cotton/poly blend clothes? Besides, didn't Jesus say that none of that matters and that loving your neighbor was what really matters?

Is there a way to creat your own religion. Not something that you want everyone else to follow, just something you want to follow. I know a lot of you will not find this acceptable, but I want to be able to mix Jewism, Buddhism, and New Age together. They are all pretty much related, and I like the relaxing in all of them. Mixing these religions seems like the perfect thing for me, but I would need some guildlines. If anyone can help me find some good sites about my question it would be great. Also can I have some of your opinions, nothing mean though, I don't want to have to deal with that.

Fewer families lose their houses because of major disasters such as fire or flood than because of a wage earner’s illness that results in death or disability. Yet, whereas most mortgage companies require borrowers to carry insurance to protect against major disasters, they do not require insurance to protect against the death or disability of a wage earner.

can you please tell the meaning of fewer ..than in the above ?
who are borrowers here ?

In Ecclesiastes 3:11 it says: "Even time indefinite he has put in their heart..." which, put simply, means that humans have the desire to live forever and have the knowledge of time. But do animals have the desire to live forever?

No.

So, how do you reason that humans developed this desire if we are evolved from apes, who do not have this desire?

I remember a couple of answers that Quran is God's message and an exact replica of the original message carved in stone in heaven. Does it mean that heaven version of Quran is also in Arabic ? And if heaven version is not in Arabic, that means the earth version is an Arabic translation. Please clarify. Thanksl

The atheists I have met believe in HUMANITY. Yes, they may be discouraged by the millions being killed in the name of one or another ancient, discredited fairy tale, but they want to believe they are part of the continuation of an epic species. Believers to me greedy. Humanity isn't enough for them, that want to LIVE FOREVER and they'll stop at nothing (including shortening the only life I know for sure) to get it.

They have attempted to bring original meaning and poetry into the English. An example:

Philippians 2:6-11

In God's own form existed he,
And shared with God equality,
Deemed nothing needed grasping.
Instead, poured out in emptiness,
A servant's form did he possess,
A mortal man becoming.
In human form he chose to be,
And lived in all humility,
Death on a cross obeying.
Now lifted up by God to heaven,
A name above all others given,
This matchless name possessing.
And so, when Jesus' name is called,
The knees of everyone should fall
Where'er they are residing.
Then every tongue in one accord,
Will say that Jesus Christ is Lord,
While God the Father praising.

Oh you should be grateful you are not disabled, that you have a roof over your head, that you can read, etc.

I am asking this as a serious question. why should I be grateful. Yes, of course there are people who are worse off than me but why does that mean the fact I am not in that position make me happy. There are people who point at me and say 'at least you are not like that'.

what is the logic of this?

Okay, seriously, anyone who doesn't get this is just so blind it's not even funny. It's getting bad out there. Come on look around. People have been and are becoming big A'holes, and everything is becoming hell on earth pretty much. I mean come on. If i Get even ONE responder that doesn't see this, I have to ask you, congradulations on your ignorance, but how can you ignore the world around you?

I'm upper middle class, and I still see these things, and my neighborhood is to die for. I'm not complaining about MY house, or YOUR house or where you live or where you work or your families, I'm complaining about the GENERAL PUBLIC, the roads, the quality of life, our value system.

It's basically, "anything goes, get the **** out of my way," mean, aggressive, materialistic, cruel, yadda yadda, and what's worse is,

people are LOVING it. The evil ones at least. It's become an evil-wins world, no soul required.

How can anyone with a "soul" deal with this and be happy?

..... catastrophes, disasters, vicious crimes, serious traffic accidents, people hurting each other etc ...... and we then read that the police overtime budget rises steeply with the need to attend so many domestic violence incidents. Is there truly something about the festive period that brings out the worst in people?
