Most people are basically good, but we all make mistakes and reap consequences. Through faith in Jesus Christ we can overcome the world and our character can mature. This is all part of God's plan for our development.
By repenting of our sins and giving all judgment of ourselves and others to Jesus Christ, the effects of sin (e.g., guilt, anger) can be mitigated and we can become true sons and daughters of God.

there are two verses of interest that help answer this question.
first jesus said those that are lukewarm will be spewed out his mouth. symbology.
but the interesting thing about people who are children of God and yet join the church of satan can be found in rev 18:4. the people Know and believe they are part of God, but if you look at the verse you will eventually see they dont follow God the follow the church of babylon, which is more antichrist than the true gospel. Do they know? or are they blinded and deceived by the works of sorcery as described in verse 23 and 24
ch. 17:1,5 also define the church of satan (i.e. babylon, i.e. harlot)
so theoretically and abviously a fact, they fall in the ditch and wander to and fro.

The dictionary says "good" is to be "morally excellent." Let s look at God s moral standard the Ten Commandments, and see how we do. Is God first in your life? Do you love Him with "heart, mind, soul and strength?" Have you made a god to suit yourself? Have you used His name in vain? Have you always honored your parents? Have you looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? Have you lied (including "fibs"), stolen (the value is irrelevant), or coveted other people s possessions? If you are honest, you know you will be guilty on the Day of Judgment. God, however, doesn t want to send you to Hell. Jesus Christ suffered and died on the Cross, so you could go free. That s how much God loves you. We broke God s Law, but Jesus took our punishment and died on the cross. He then rose from the grave defeating death. If you repent (turn away from all the things you know are wrong) and trust in Him, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. Begin by reading your Bible daily and then obey what you read. God will never let you down.

EVERYbody sins, it is in our make-up as imperfect mankind. Our conscious will try to warn us against wrongdoing but sometimes when we dwell on something, we can find ourselves caught up in the act of sin and it's too late. God has granted us with forgiveness and repentance. The way to know that someone is truly repentent is that they stop their sinful behavior.

The Scriptures state, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Christ paid the for penalty of our sin. We all deserve death, which is the ultimate penalty for sin. Everyone will pay for their sin unless they come to Christ, who has paid the penalty for our sin with His blood.

"Good people"? What determines "good people"? By "good people" do you mean people who try to help the world, like Ale Gore? Or do you mean people who "follow Jesus"?
But doesn't Christian religion believe you can repent? Or is it one sin and you're slurped down into hell?

All people struggle with life and living....To deviate is from any path is to be human. What makes the person is the continued attempt to do the right thing, and to realize the mistake.
We are all human and are all imperfect.

By virtue of the atonement of Jesus Christ, they have the opportunity to repent, improve and grow from their mistakes and errors. Christ provided the way whereby we can overcome weaknesses and make those things become strengths.

There is consequences for the sin (troubles in life), but there is no condemnation for the believer. They won't go to hell for those who have believed in Christ as Savior from their sins.

FIRST.... there Are NO GOOD People....!
(Rom 3:23) for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,
THE GOODNESS..... of those that ....ARE.... "BORN AGAIN".....
.... Is Only the GOODNESS.... OF.... GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT...!
(2Corinthians 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, = = so that the excellence of the power = = may be of God = = and not = = of us;
Those that Really.... BELONG TO JESUS....... and Choose TO SIN.... "Will Be Spanked.... by their HEAVENLY FATHER!
(Hebrews 12:6-7-8) for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives."
(Heb 12:7) If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father does not chasten?
(Heb 12:8) But if you are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, = = = then you are = = bastards = = and not sons.
The WORD.... Calls those..... WHO SAY THEY ARE ....CHRISTIANS...... [ in name only and are not ]....."BASTARDS!"
...... IF.... THE FATHER..... Does NOT Correct.... THEM.... for their... SIN!
Here are they..... Spoken about.... IN ANOTHER VERSE....!
(1John 2:19) They went out from us, = but they were not of us; = for if they were of us, = they would have continued with us. = But they went out = so that it might be revealed = that they were not all of us.
Thanks for Asking ! RR
