man, I can't believe how honest you people are. I am totally wrong about you. I mean, I still think you're making a mistake but that's just my opinion.

People, I'm not going to decide the best answer, I'm going to leave that up to you. How would I know, anyway?

Well, I do now, but it kind of helps that he's been DEAD for almost thirteen years! How's that for being "goddamn honest"?

Oh, if it helps, I did have a friend whose dad was the best man at his wedding. To his partner. To me, nothing said "good, loving relationship" better than that - the fact that his father not only loved him unconditionally, but even looked at the occasion as kind of gaining another son as well as a "son-in-law". Boy, if most fathers could be like that...

Oh, yeah, and just in case you weren't planning on asking about how many STRAIGHT guys have great relationships with their fathers, a guy I went to high school with only started speaking to his father recently...after TWENTY years of no communications at all. And was it because he was gay?

Nope.

He married a black woman, who is now the mother of his three kids, BTW. And having grandkids didn't exactly change the relationship he had with his dad, either. I don't know what did, but at least they're talking now. Being gay isn't any more of a choice than being straight but having a different view of things than your family. Only the way in which they react to it is truly a choice.

According to some reports and studies, they say that 80% of gays had bad relationship with thier fathers.

This study was conducted among 100 men or something who were gay.

Actually there is some issue about this in Gay studies. You can google it out for more information.

I always figured that my father would not like the fact that i was gay.....BUT as it happens this was the exact opposite...when I told my dad that i was gay it was the first time i can ever remember him saying i love you...and then he gave me a hug...
he was proud of me for standing up and being who i want no matter the consequences...

Are they gay cause they have bad relationships with their fathers and want some male affection?

Or.

Do they have bad relationships with their fathers cause their fathers don't agree with their gayness?

It's debatable and it could go both ways.

Also....
Are gay people born with different brains genetically?

Or

Do physiological changes occur in their brain due to homosexual practice and habit ?

It is hard to tell. Impossible! So, just give up and leave them alone. To each his own right.

I don't agree with homosexuality, but everyone has the right to their own beliefs.

Not me...It was bad from the moment I threw up on him when I was a boy right until the other day when I had an argument fight with him. And a lot more in the interim 42 years.

I'm not gay, but there is no evidence to indicate that homosexuality has any post birth causes. That is relationship, events, abuse etc, do not cause someone to become gay.

On the other hand, both genetics and prenatal hormone levels can both cause homosexuality.
