During the most of the old testament and some of the new, God was always there delivering his "chosen people" out of their perils. Where was he when those that weren't his "chosen people" were suffering and dying?

To Native American Indians, like Navajos, Hopis' etc christmas has very little meaning as to westerns. Native Indains believe christmas is just another one of the events that is forced upon, and its just a way to get them rich. but for a lot of indians they go along or do it for thier children. they don't want to hurt or disappoint them. what do you think about this subject?

Considering the physical universe as the body of God, would spirit be, say, quantum particles such as photons and electrons that are contained within and emitted by every living body? Would spirit include the electro-static and electromagnetic fields? What of the mind of God? Would it be the very intelligence of the system of the universe, which is in such a state of equilibrium as to allow for such worlds full of wonderful life as Earth to exist?

Hi. I had a dream of a line of people holding hands walking over a hillside at night. They were all wearing red robes (maybe about 8 of them) and they had a naked child with them who was about 2 yrs old. The child was in the middle walking along with them as one of them held the child's hand. Does anyone know what this means? Are red robes used for certain types of ceramonies? Thanks so much, I appreciate any insight given.

if jesus never came about, everything linked to him would never exsist.
so there would be no dark ages, no mass murders, most likely less war, maybe no slavery, science would be able to have a more progressive start earlier.

so if there was, is a god, what if jesus was the test of the devil and god to see what humanity would do? if you look at history, i would say the devil won. the earth is not united, many different religions have seperated and prevoke hatred and wanting to be better then others, many can not be tolerant of others.
so the question stands, was or could jesus have been the anti-christ?
(no bible quotes, please, its man made, not word of god, i get it, i want "YOUR" answer)

SO far the only ideas i have came up with is a red and white checkered table cloth along with some Italian music playing in the back round. i prefer all the songs on the burned cd to have that Italian sound with no words but the first song i want to be billy joels song scenes from an Italian restaurant. Sometimes when in public with my little sister or other children I may be taking care of, some people will assume they are my children. I find this riduculous becuase I'm 20 years old! How could I possibly have as many children I they think I do. I once took my two cousins and little sister to breakfast and the waitress called me "mom", I was 17 at the time and the three of them were about 9! Same thing happened at work, someone ask me how mykids were doing... huh?!
simply why do people assume (i could look maybe 23 tops) and what should I say in response besides THEIR NOT MINE!

People seem to be using these terms without really defining them. I thought evolution was just a change in heritable traits of a reproductive population from generation to generation. What distinguishes macro- from micro-?

I was raised STRICTLY Baptist until I was 12 and my mother died. I lived less than a block from our church, which my grandfather helped build, so we were there literally all the time. Although my grandma attended the same church and still made me go when I moved in with her, I stopped believing in the ridiculous religion for obvious reasons.
Although I respect religions that help people maintain peaceful, moral lives, I am completely apathetic towards the whole thing. I just dont care. At all. I mean, I feel I'm a fairly good person. I recycle, donate blood, do tons of volunteer work, support troops (not the "war"), I'm polite and respectful to other human beings, Im a good mother, i'm not a sIut by any means, and I do all sorts of other neat things. . . but as far as religion? I just dont care. Do any of you feel the same way? Do any of you just not care?

I think i'm going to start my own religion called "Apathism".
You can join it or not. I dont really care.

Why do YOU cover and what type of covering do you prefer? I myself cover as a sign of respect for the Eucharist and in obediance to Scripture. I usually wear a bandana/kerchief covering although I also like snoods and mantillas. Also do you receive strange comments or looks from time to time?
Peace Be With You,

A Jewish acquaintance took my spouse to task a bit for calling her a "Jew." She said that coming from a gentile, it "sounds terrible."

In general I don't like to use adjectives as nouns to label people: I tend to say "he is a Jewish man" instead of "he is a Jew," and "he is a gay man" instead of "he is gay," and "he is an African-American man" instead of "he is an African-American," etc.

That's just my thing and I don't try to foist it on other people. I don't mind being called "a gay man," but I myself don't like being called "a gay." It identifies my entire being with something that is ultimately only a small part of my identity.

But I was still caught off guard with my friend's sensitivity to the word "Jew." I didn't know it was in any way derogatory, and James definitely didn't mean it that way. Or is it derogatory? What do other Jewish people think?
