Hi. I had a dream of a line of people holding hands walking over a hillside at night. They were all wearing red robes (maybe about 8 of them) and they had a naked child with them who was about 2 yrs old. The child was in the middle walking along with them as one of them held the child's hand. Does anyone know what this means? Are red robes used for certain types of ceramonies? Thanks so much, I appreciate any insight given.

Depends on the tradition and the ritual. It does NOT denote sacrifice (contrary to what others have said here). Sometimes red robes are worn to fire festivals (to honor solar deities), sometimes they're only worn by priests. Red is a color of protection, passion, action, strength, and compassion. I have to agree that symbolically - the child was being protected. Ultimately - it was probably just a strange dream.

First of all, these are WAY too many questions to answer and no one person is into THIS much stuff. It sounds like you have been watching movies and falling for stereotypes, not speaking with people who practice an actual belief or religion. Satanism and witchcraft are NOT the same thing! Not everything that Christians call "the occult" is satanic. Wicca is a religion. They do make "potions" but they do NOT practice any spells or magic which is meant to harm or control other people. For example: They can do a spell to attract a loving partner but they CAN'T do a spell to make a specific person fall in love with them. Doing so would be binding the free will of another person and would be wrong. So they might say gibberish words and mix herbs together but their religion has rules and just like Christianity, there are things Wiccan don't do. Wiccans also don't believe in heaven or hell so witches are NOT satanists. This would be impossible because they don't believe in satan. As far as REAL practicing satanists, honestly, it isn't the scary thing most people think. Most of the time its just a wacky cult run by some nutcase and they are harmless. The rumors of them killing, making sacrifices and putting subliminal messages in TV shows is for the most part, ludicrous. Yeah there are bad people in the world but there isn't any proof that people who worship satan are any more or less likely to commit violent crimes than people of other religions. Prisons are FULL of people who have killed, raped, cannibalized and molested children. Statistically, there are actually more Christians in prison than any other religion. Personally, I think no religion makes someone a better person. Being a good person is a choice and some religious people seem to think their gods will magically forgive whatever they do. If someone breaks the law, they should be punished regardless of what their religion is. If you want to educate yourself, you are a free human being and you can learn about any subject you want. Reading about something does NOT mean you have to believe in it or agree with it. If you want to know more about satanism there are many books and websites which will answer your questions. Learning about the world isn't "sinful" or wrong. It is called being smart. How can someone decide what is right from wrong when they don't look at both sides? I have researched many religions, including satanism. There are a lot of crazy religions in the world but honestly if you can read some actual books about the religion of satanism, you might end up laughing your head off instead of being afraid! It honestly is really stupid and anyone who really believes in this crap either has mental problems or has an IQ of 3. The only reason why we think satanism is scary, is because movies portray it this way. When you actually do your research, you will find they are just groups of people who go to church and practice their own beliefs. People are free to believe what they want. This includes you. People are also free to learn about whatever they want. If this subject fascinates you, read more about it. I don't practice or believe this stuff but it is interesting and amusing to read about. I hope this helps...Good luck!

The red robes could mean Cardinals. The 8 people could signify the 7 hills of Rome and the pope. The child could be the innocence of the church being taken away by the church.
Or it could just be a dream.

I believe they use the red robes after they get out of the shower, before they dress.

Your dream sounds like a lead-in to a sacrifice. Ick.

RED robes can be worn to Sabbats, for protective rites or when attuning with the God in his fiery solar aspect.

Mostlikely the child was being protected from something.

Red in dreams is a sign of frustration. The child symbolizes hope.

Ohhhh,

that was Marks wife's fault.

The used to be white, but then she 'did us a favour' and washed them after a longer than normal orgy. Well as you can guess, she forgot to separate the colors, and accidentally left Mark's Chicago Bulls sweat suit in the washer.

Now we all wear red.

They were red robes because red robes hide the blood stains after the sacrifice of the child they are going to sacrifice. — Your dream could mean that someone you know (including yourself) maybe anticipating an abortion.
