If you get given presents before the occasion?

whatever it is- do you like to open them immediately, or be patient and wait to the day?

i rip them open as soon as i get them

It all depends on if I'm asked to wait until the day or not. Usually when I receive gifts before an ocasion, the giver wants to see my reaction when I open the package.
