if jesus never came about, everything linked to him would never exsist.
so there would be no dark ages, no mass murders, most likely less war, maybe no slavery, science would be able to have a more progressive start earlier.

so if there was, is a god, what if jesus was the test of the devil and god to see what humanity would do? if you look at history, i would say the devil won. the earth is not united, many different religions have seperated and prevoke hatred and wanting to be better then others, many can not be tolerant of others.
so the question stands, was or could jesus have been the anti-christ?
(no bible quotes, please, its man made, not word of god, i get it, i want "YOUR" answer)

obanroo, who is to say what religion is false, they all say god has spoken to them to do this and that, so they are all jesus in a way, no one can really say what jesus really did or what happened to him in real detail. the books of history are written by selfish eyes. nothing is true.

zig, and all you people dont get it, think 4th dementionally, if there was NO JESUS, all the religions in relation to him would be gone. that means all the fights about him would never have happend. so if there was no jesus. would the world be a better place?

Good question. I would like to specifically target the area where you ask, "what if jesus was the test of the devil and god to see what humanity would do?". Considering this, I rather think that Jesus was certainly not the Anti-Christ, but perhaps the reactions of various people to the power they saw in the religion that formed around him was.

It is my opinion that no one man can bring about the salvation or downfall of all of humankind. That takes many people over many years. Was Jesus the Christ or the Anti-Christ? I believe he was neither, rather the actions/reactions of individuals become their own salvation or damnation.

Jesus was merely attempting to show the way. It's not his fault that so many are blind.

No, Jesus IS Christ.
Jesus came from God. God created the universe.

If Jesus never came about, we would all be doomed. There would be no Christian hospitals. There would be no Salvation army, fewer women's shleters, less charitable organizations, less help for the poor, homeless, etc.

I know of some atheists who are intolerant. Some atheists want to be better than others as well.

Your theory about slavery is mere speculation, since there was slavery before Jesus came.
How can you say that the world would be united without Christ? Politics divide people. Illegal drugs, alcohol, smoking, sexual issues divide people.

I would say the devil has lost. How many followers does he have? You? Who else?

The devil does not have the power to test people. No way would God have joined forces with the devil to test humanity.
This IS my answer.

I don't think you are the anti-christ, but you could be one of his angels. Perhaps you carry his brief case?

Oh by the way there were mass murders before him, There was a lot more war before him. Kings fighting Kings, There was slavery before and after so no change, Scientists did very well at about the time he came but then after his death, we went through the dark ages hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

No question the devil has done a darn good job. I agree with that one, so that is about 1/5 that I agree with. Some day soon he will be locked up for 1000 years.

oh lord have mercy

how could he be if he created you? he is the real living god the reason why he hasn't come yet is because there is alot of sin on earth. He is giving some people time to seek him, especially you, you're the only person that i ever met in this section that seem interested i hope my answer helped because the reason why there is alot of religion on earth is because there is a god but the devil doesn't want people to know the real one so that is why he tries to confuse alot of people.

Have you ever thought of christmas and easter?

The devil is the antichrist because he doesn't want people to know the true meaning of easter and christmas.

What did you think the star on the christmas tree is for?

what did you think the gifts are for?

why do families come together for this time of year?

how did santa come about to know whose been naughty and nice?

I have plenty more to say and i can answer any of these questions, but that's all for now. Have a nice day....Christianity is the RIGHT religion!!!!!!!

Wes, I read what you wrote:
"so there would be no dark ages, no mass murders, most likely less war, maybe no slavery, science would be able to have a more progressive start earlier."
As I have said in other of my answers, you need to take a course in logic. You are saying that you are the anti Wes!
Don't confuse God's edicts, religion's precepts, with the sins (or crimes) of Mankind.

Before Jesus, there was war, slavery, poverty darkness, so they cannot be attributed to Him. There are corners of the world that reject Him that have slavery, poverty, darkenss and war, so that cannot be attributed to Him.

The answer to your question is no, he cannot be the Christ and an anti-christ.

Also keep in mind, and I am not going to support my thesis with scripture that the great deceiver is to be the beast, not the anti-christ, if you are referring to the character in the book of Revelation. The term anti-christ is used in other books to describe those that oppose the teachings of Jesus.

The reason the world is like it is, is because God is giving people the opportunity to try every form of govenment to prove that we need God's kingdom to guide us. As for the anti-christ that would be the world of false religious leaders. What a mess they have made.

2007-12-27 07:13:19 · answer #7 · answered by Obanroo 4 · 0 0

first off, anti; meaning instead-of and against, and Christ referring to messiah, is not referring to Jesus. anti-christ will stand against everything Jesus Christ was and is but will be coming in place of Jesus Christ.

John 5:43 "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive."

"what if jesus was the test of the devil and god to see what humanity would do?"

do you truly feel like God would need to perform any kind of act whatsoever in order to understand, what humanity (His creation) would do? Jesus wasn't sent as a temptation from the devil, because that says that God is inadequate to deal with sin. therefor the issue is not the character of Jesus, but one's personal perception of the character of God.

John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

therefor if one claims to know the Father and knows not Jesus, he is a deceived/deceiver (twice-fold a child of hell).

You have dimentia of the brain.

Are you serious? No Bible quotes? You might as well hang this question up because you just plainly don't believe in Jesus Christ or God. You're not even a Christian... so why are you asking this stupid question?

How does one speculate that Jesus could possibly be the anti-christ and not be on crystal meth? Jesus... anti-christ... Jesus... anti-christ... I don't get it.

Go read a Harry Potter book and get off of Yahoo.

"Kindergarten style"????? You're just making yourself look stupider by the minute, guy. Look at your question, Smeagel, and consider who is in kindergarten.

Hahaha! He said think "4th [sic] dementionally" How can we think 4th dimensional when your question is NO DIMENSIONAL? Stop while you're ahead, please. And wow... Wes is getting murked by 14 year olds (plaine00)!!

I feel like Elijah mocking the prophets of Baal right about now. Why can't us Christians have fun! PLEASE REMOVE YOUR QUESTION... THANKS, GARGAMEL.

Dear Wes
I feel sorry for you!
You ask a question like this, then you set ground rules so it can't be answered. Next, you'll probably use the lack of answers as justification for your own warped opinion.
I'll pray for you.
