I moved to a new town and was looking for a new church. I found one with a minister whose preaching I enjoyed, etc., and started going.
Then, after several months had passed, I attended a gathering of the church members and a woman who was a member said to me: "what is your connection with this church?"
I said, "what do you mean? This is the church where I go. I've been coming here for months."
What kind of connection was she looking for?

most people don't even know the difference between Christens Jews Moslem's they think they are all totally different religions , they even think GOD and Allah are different.
I've heard comments suggestion that one god is better than the other.
Most britsh white english people i have known know far less about there own religion than me.
and i personally although born a muslim no longer am able to believe in any form of religion.
the average white person will associate brown asian indian pakistani e.t.c with muslim people. White muslims in eastern europe russia chinese musilms e.t.c. are not even considered.
i would like to know what other peoples views are ?

I am convinced they would add any undectable poison or carcinagic into the food supply that would have any positive influence on the bottomline or earnings per share. that is why food inspectors and "controls" exist at all. i am convinced giant corporate food companies can never be simply trusted. one hundred years ago they did not have huge chemical labs to creative more and more "supplements" to boost the bottomline and, earnings per share. manage must grow that bottomline or perish. let the consumer beware is their guiding compass. they lipservice is just that. bs.

what i mean is, if adam and eve had children, they taught them to speak, how would they move away and create a new language

to me, the reason we have lots of languages is because when the world came about and evolution people were already in lots of different places, so they invented their own language

So many religious people - especially Christians - are unhappy and living unfulfilled lives. They think that God is making them unhappy as punishment for their choices. Could it possibly be that God is not angry with you like you think? That you can do what you would like to be happy and he will be happy with you; when you are sad he is sad?
How about this basic theological premise -
GOD IS HAPPY AND HE IS HAPPY WITH YOU AND EVERYONE YOU LIKE AND EVERYONE YOU HATE. No strings attached?
Why don't you want to accept this is true as Jesus dies trying to point out?

With talk of climate change and global warming, we have started to think about the future of our species.

Our greedy and destructive natures are undeniable. We have altered the landscape of earth more than any other animal on earth at this time. We use up more fuel than any other species in terms of physical size and we show little, if not no respect to other animals even though they are our major food source. We think we are better than them because we can kill them but really we depend on them to survive. They are effectively the same as our mothers. They give us life. But we take more than is needed.

Do you think that planet earth would flourish if it was not for humans or do you think that we have made the world a better place for all animals to live? Or do you think that animals were primarily put here for us to use because humans are the superior animal and the planet was created soley for us to do with what we please?

Most of the people believe that there is supernatural forces on the earth. really i have no experience...But even my father also have said that one of his friend have seen such a force. QUestion okay i am catholic but I am unsure about the whole sex sin thing, like before marrige n stuff.. how those that work.......... is it still a sin having sex wth someone you kno you are going to marry? is it a mortal sin if you have sex before marrige ? what happends if you have premarital sex? the story is like this, Im from iran and i have a sister who is only 20 years old , for summer vacation we traveled to singapore and we met a group of koreans over there, i dont know how it happend that my sis got to know a guy from that group and they became so close to eachother just in a week eventhough the korean guy couldnt speak english that well,,after we left singapore to thailand i thought its over but it was the bigining coz that guy was chasing after my sis to thailand until we left for Iran, i never saw my sis like that,, i was realy against her because i think its really doesnt make any sense, two totally different cultures , im not so religoues but after all we are muslim and he was mixture of budhism and christian , anyway they are still in touch and the guy asked my sis for marriage recently and she is really lost and doesnt know wat to do, my mom and dad told her that its her right to decide about her own future but i really think that is a big mistake,

The other day all the missionaries in my town decided to ask me about the ethics in my subject. They were asking things like is ethics a part of science? Is animal experiments right? And i replied things like ethics is a branch of philosophy. Well do you want animals to be experimented on or humans or do you just want people to suffer? Are people like this a threat to the well being of our species? All this annoyed me because i had to write a huge report for university and i really didn't want to consider all these things right at that moment in time. and for the record i don't experiment on humans or animals.
