With talk of climate change and global warming, we have started to think about the future of our species.

Our greedy and destructive natures are undeniable. We have altered the landscape of earth more than any other animal on earth at this time. We use up more fuel than any other species in terms of physical size and we show little, if not no respect to other animals even though they are our major food source. We think we are better than them because we can kill them but really we depend on them to survive. They are effectively the same as our mothers. They give us life. But we take more than is needed.

Do you think that planet earth would flourish if it was not for humans or do you think that we have made the world a better place for all animals to live? Or do you think that animals were primarily put here for us to use because humans are the superior animal and the planet was created soley for us to do with what we please?

I think Mother Nature will deal with us in her own way. She already does, when you look at all the natural disasters and diseases we have.

I think the main problem with us is that we can't just let things be. We're given everything we need to survive on this planet, but it's just not good enough. We are too disrespectful of nature -- we seem to want everything to be man made so we can control it.

But I'm not sure that the world would be better off without humans (although, I think there's should probably be a lot less of us than there are). Nature is pretty clever, so I doubt we'd be here at all if we weren't meant to play some part in the ecosystem.

humans have been on earth in just a blink of an eye.... we made a huge difference in our time here on earth.
are we messed-up with earth managing ?
yep, but i hope we are improving.

earth doesn't care who is here on this planet, it's all about procreation, living and dying, nature continues with or without us.
ONLY humans question our being here, best to just do the best your able and try to be a solution and not a problem

The planet would be much better off and is trying to get rid of most of us. Each disease we find a cure for, seems to create a worse one. Nature is about balance and the planet is far from equilibrium.
