That my self-control and patience needs improvement.

That often good people strived hard at presenting God's word without annoying the recipients, but God's word cuts and divides and discerns the thoughts and intents of the hearts. God's word is not tolerated by unbelievers. And God is not tolerant.

That many are lost and without Christ.

That many blame God instead of the awful sin of the world.

That so many people want to tolerate everything, but it cannot be done because God has absolutes. God has commands and truths and God will not change.

Have a blessed day.

before I came on here I sincerely thought the lunatic fringe consisted entirely of religious zealots and atheists were the voice of reason. Now I know that some atheists on here pursue their beliefs with a religious fervour that would put some 'pastors' to shame. I may not believe in your God, but I do respect your right to believe as you wish. Just as I dismiss the Christian radical who answers every question with scripture quotes (whether relevant or not) I also dismiss the atheist who answers every question with "God doesn't exist you moron!" (or something like that). The R&S section, by it's very nature, should be a place for discussion - not slanging matches.
I've learned that I'm not as radical as I thought I was, I don't hate people for believing differently from me....i haven't been here for very long though, so may have more to learn :)

That anyone who doesn't agree with you pickes apart your question to make you look stupid instead of answering with their beliefs, this is not everyone but most people.

That some people are genuinly good answerers.

That almost everyone believes they are right.

That when I try I can formulate better questions than the ones I originally thought were good.

That people watch all your questions to see if you ever mentioned something stupid.

That fundies are considered the stupidest of the bunch, while fundie atheists are considered very smart.

That when you post a question a small percentage of the answers will be helpful.

That I love R&S.

That you need to ask questions a certain way to get the answer to the right question.

Good question, very fun, thanks.

I have learned that I am much firmer in my convictions after reading how messed up many people are on both sides of good and evil. I have learned that there is great good and great evil existing side by side in the world and I can see more clearly that biblical prophecy is coming true. I can see how easily people can dismiss the great value of each human soul and make things like 9/11 possible.

I am so sad that some people think that God is the kind of God who hates.

I have seen how very little true understanding exists in the world today and how much darkness reigns in the minds of both believers and non believers. I have seen why God weeps and satan laughs.

I take joy in the goodness evident here and am so sad at how people can be so mean.

May God bless us every one!

I wish all of us would be nicer than we have to be.

I've learned a lot more about conservative Christian views. I've found that I still disagree with them, but have learned to respect them more.

I've learned a lot more about the teachings of The Catholic Church.

I've learned that the Internet is the best place to find people being ruthless and nasty to each other, and spewing ignorance. And that the best response to such nastiness is to not respond (hard to do).

I've learned that I have a lot more faith than I originally thought, and yet I still have a lot to learn.

I've learned, most of all, that despite the countless closed-minded answers I've read from believers and non-believers alike, there are some wonderfully sensitive, intelligent people answering questions at this site. I try to focus on their words, and not the rest.

Peace be with you.

I have engaged in many discussions in R&S here on Yahoo! I have studied people who profess religious beliefs. I have come to the conclusion that these beliefs are clearly delusional.

Further study reveals that religious insanity is rife in the USA, and some medical professionals have found a clear link between religious belief and psychosis.

I have learned here that many that claim to be atheist, come saying they are atheist, but yet in their hearts they doubt their own belief. Or else they would not be here.

Some come to learn more and gain a more perfect walk in the faith.

Some come here to do the will of the Father.

Some come just to argue.

Some come playing the devil's advocate.

Some come because they have nothing better to do.

That there are a lot of closed-minded atheists and theists out there who give the rest of us a bad name.

The atheists who are always calling Christians idiots for being hypocrites and if they are God's people why aren't they helping out the world, well, if you're so great why are you on here calling people out and not doing the stuff you say everyone else should be doing? Who's the hypocrite here?

The christians, who are over-sensitive and think they're the best, you aren't. get over it. live and let live. you don't need to try to convert people all the time. we are supposed to pray that these people find God one way or another, not convert them.

The Jews, Muslims, etc. same as above.

I respect what others believe in, i just wish they'd do the same for me.

And that on R&S you get more thumbs ups and downs than any other page.

I have noticed just how much I love defending God's Holy Word!
And how much I truly love sharing His truth and answering biblical questions...even giving bible trivia!
I have also noticed just how lost so many are, and it really does sadden me. I know I cannot change people, only GOD can change people.
But I know that it is through hearing the word of God, that people will have faith (Romans 10:17) And I want everyone to hear His word on here.

AND it amazes me just how much division there is on here with christians.

Nothing much about myself, but I've learned that if you really want to wind somebody up, or attempt communication with somebody who is bigoted and moronic beyond the levels you imagined humanly possible... this is the place to come.

Otherwise it's best to just read the posts and think, "I'm glad I'm not you."
