It is an individual thing. For some, it may last only a couple of months, for others it could last a year or more. It really depends upon the relationship you had with the deceased person and whether their death was sudden or expected. Most importantly, it depends upon the mourner and their feelings about it.

It's very different for everyone. There really shouldn't be a time limit or expectation. You will mourn differently for everyone you lose in your life. Just make sure that the mourning does not overtake you. The loved one who passed would want you to continue on with living.

As long as it takes. Any one that gives you a time table on mourning is full of _ _ _ _ . Everyone is different. Some never get over it. There is no expiration date on mourning. It is a loss from your soul. Someone tells me to get over it, they're are going to get something they didn't bargain on. That is being cold and crass. Lots of "experts" out there that need to keep their mouths shut. Each in their own way deals with loss. Let them be. There is no right or wrong amount of time.

That depends on the cause, and your response. From a few days to a few years.
If an elderly parent or loved one dies-its tough, you miss them, but you get over it-because they were old.
If a child is killed in a car wreck or if a spouse cheats on you, then you may carry the sorrow the rest of your life. Some things you never get over-but you learn to live with them. You just keep them in a special place in your heart.

It typically lasts as long as it takes to accept it and is different for everyone. A really close personal loss can take from 3 months to one year, maybe even more depending on the person, the mindset and the help they receive.

it says that it lasts for the night, and joy comes in the morning- from Psalms- however nights can be very long indeed- my family has gone through so much with health issues, and a family issue in the last years, and they do not seem to go away= however the joy is deep in my heart, because with Christ that is possible- I am not saying that I am always happy, because I am not, but the joy that comes in the morning is amazing- not of myself.
